    Hi all.
This is my first post on OF. I have been looking for a vintage Omega of any kind to get into vintage collection. I came across a Geneve and I suspect it is a ref. 166.0174.
Lately I am not keen on buying the watch because I think that the dial has been replaced and it looks as if the 12 hour marker is not perfectly vertical.
I am located in South Africa and vintage Omegas are hard to come by, so if this is an opportunity for a good buy I dont want to miss it. The current asking price is 5000 ZAR (256 Euro).

In short, I would just like to hear some of your opinions on what you think I should do.

    Cheers

Unfortunately not. The seller is not experienced in watches and therefore can not open the watch to reveal the movement.

    Not a wise choice.

The case and bracelet have been heavily polished, thus losing the original appearance of the watch.
It has an integrated bracelet which means that you are stuck with that option, and if the bracelet breaks (as it probably will by the look of it) you have a big task ahead of you to get a replacement.

I didn't even consider the rest of the watch.
