Burgundy bronze gold Seamaster release

I think the deployant clasp is integral to the bracelet like the other Omega milanese. The bracelet fits 20mm lug width, so it won’t work for the Seamaster 300 Heritage. Not that I would have paid the 15k+ they will ask for it…

It looks like the rubber strap version comes with the 18mm-width Seamaster style pin buckle, which is a nice addition to complete the bronze gold look instead of the sort of mismatched 16mm buckle that the 300 Heritage comes with.
You're right. Misread the Fratello article and thought the rubber strap came with the deployant. Well that sucks.

Not exactly though, because for the bronze-gold heritage, the only option to put it on a rubber strap (the one from the ceramic-cased seamaster fits very well) was to use either a steel or ceramic buckle. Neither really matched the watch well. At least now there is an SMP clasp that works with an omega rubber strap that matches the case.

That doesn't fix the issue of if someone wants a deployant, but... it's not all bad.

This was on my news feed this AM. It was fratello. Funny the comments here kinda mimic the comments on fratello. I guess it’s a little split.

This would be great at a lower price point to reflect 9k gold, but then again, I bet it drops in a year on the secondary market.

First impressions are it looks better on the rubber than the bracelet. Surprised they don't offer it on a leather strap option as well. The dail looks off, almost like it's unfinished. The burgundy bezel is following Tudor, almost like they got their playbook and have been following the color releases to a T. Plus they keep pushing closer to 14mm in thickness.

Regardless, the price is bonkers for this on the non-adjustable bracelet. Not much difference with the rubber. Problem is your putting a dress watch on rubber. For these prices, will decide to branch out to other brands since Omega has seemed to have lost the plot.

Thanks for sharing the image, it's good to see one in the wild and out of the Boutique lighting. The dial definitely has a nice "sandblasty" sparkle to it that looks a lot better than the more flat appearance in the boutique. In sunlight, the almost gritty appearance of the dial really works with that rubber strap.

Ok, this does look better than the renderings and release photos. The dial texture works with this design, gives it an interesting twist with a non wave dial.

Wear it in good health and welcome to the forum!

See, this we can agree on. Most of them are expert whorologists, and perhaps not horology-experts? Drat, that word-order thing again, it's going to be the dearth of us awl
If you ask yourself, you should also answer yourself.

On a more serious note- does anyone see the direction Omega is taking the SMP platform, as similar to how Rolex utilizes the Sub platform? Essentially every Rolex is a sub. It seems like Omega is branching the SMP line in a way that keeps the most key design elements- lyre lugs, scalloped bezel, skeleton hands, hour markers- and then allowing the dial to play. Texture, color, waves/wave type- and dials honestly are a strength of Omega's.

If so... it's honestly a good move. the green-bronze-titanium, this burgundy-bronze, and the new old-wave no-date, are all lookers and still absolutely unmistakably SMP300s. I could see this working really well for Omega, assuming there's intention behind it.
Essentially every rolex is a sub?

I don't even bother to talk about the seamaster professional diver platform anymore.

Omega's gone completely nuts.
31.000€ for a 9k gold Seamaster, with an anti ergonomic mesh bracelet, resembling my Tudor BB burgundy.
Cabo, you are so predictable.

actually, I prefer the pin buckle on the rubber strap. Its less balky then the deployment and Omega also put a little notch in the "keeper/loop" that slot into the excess strap and stay in place...it actually looks quite nice and sits much better on the wrist vs the bulky deployment.
