It’s a nice looking watch and I must admit I never had any regrets overpaying a bit for a watch I liked a lot.

By the way.... time to get yourself an avatar.

Agree on the “overpay”- I have had a few I spent too much on and never regretted it after they were in my possession. That said- there is slight overpay and there is just wow- that’s way too much.
I’m suprised you don’t own one of these @Syrte - they are perfectly sized at around 35-36mm.

That’s a very good point and I’ve come very close to pulling the trigger on similarly styled watches, but I’ve been very restrained in the past couple years. There are many beautiful and tempting waches and choices have to be made!

Oh it certainly does to those that own them but I never let the internet establish true value for me. 😁

Chances are I will come across some here in my Connecticut treasure hunting for 1/3 that price and definitely once the Chelsea weekend flea markets open back up in Manhattan. This tri-state area is Bulova country.
Find one for me Fred!!

If you’re saying we can find these around $300 at the Chelsea Market, I’ll mosy likely see you there!

Yeah, I’m in love with the lume. Haha, great coffee book. James Hoffman knows what he’s talking about.

I love James Hoffman. His Youtube channel is a treasure.

Agreed. I love when he reviews products that I actually own, hoping that he confirms I made the right choice lol

Congrats - mine say hello:

Btw is the bezel supposed to click when you turn it? Not sure if it’s appropriate to that era.

The watchmaker tightened up the bezel (it was very loose, but didn't click) by replacing a spring. He said the original spring had disintegrated. Maybe this is why it's clicking now?

No idea but all of them that I have serviced didn’t click like a modern bezel does...
