you said you only stated it could be stolen? Not really…
Damn, you owned me, guess I'll shrink off into nothingness.

We can have an argument about semantics where we debate pedantic issues like listing possibilities and then referencing the list without prefacing it with "possibly" again.

i.e. if it makes you feel better, I'll rephrase with emphasis:

"I didn't say it WAS fake, I said it was POSSIBLY fake or stolen" I also "corrected" it by replacing "probably" with "possibly" in case that offends your sensibilities as well.

There, take the superiority you felt in "catching" me being less than perfectly clear in a forum post, thus rendering anything I had to say as worthless, and save it for the next time you need to feel like you "OwN3d" someone in an argument.

I'm still going with someone was POSSIBLY trying to sell a stolen watch. More likely than some bleeding heart watch collector selflessly denied themselves a 25% profit they could apply to the Silver Snoopy purchase they are trying to prove they are "worthy" of by buying an Ed White.

It’s so funny people are complaining about the flippers and calling them names and when someone just offers it’s piece for retail to make another speedy enthusiast happy, it MUST be fake

A sad truth in today's watch-world, I'm afraid. If only everyone were so charitable! I am sorry that slash missed out on what appears to have been a good opportunity. That said, it's just a watch. You will have the chance to buy it at retail again. I assume you're on the list at an OB/AD slash92790?

Yes, just put my name on the list, but as a new customer of omega, I think maybe need few years to get a new Ed white.

At least when you finally get one from an OB/AD you won't be worrying about if it were stolen or fake.

Soooo, everyone on here that has gotten theirs had a SA at an OB that called up Omega HQ and gave them their Omega life story and negotiated on their behalf for an allocation? That’s seems a little convoluted. My assumption would have been it’s like Daytona allocations where location and sales volume just determines how many you get and how often as an OB. Just want to confirm this how it is by some other people that got theirs before I go and chastise my SA for not knowing about this policy or doing the leg work for nearly a year now and that it’s not just because they really just haven’t gotten their allocation yet.

This is as labyrinthine as I have experienced as well.

I have posted (likely viewed as complaining here) regarding the wait list via the OBs, and prioritization of the 321s. The reason I seem to be confused, is that I'm not following or pestering my OB every week.

I found out about the 321 months after it was announced, and there were already several OBs taking full deposits. By the time I contacted my local OB (one with whom I'd purchased a few Speedmasters), he was no longer taking deposits - though some were, three time zones away. I contacted them, but was hesitant to make that deposit, as I have a good relationship with my local OB. He currently has me on the 'wait list, with no deposit, so I am in the dark regarding how long I may have to wait etc. for a 321. I'm sure I'm small potatoes compared to his other customers.

So, at present, there are some OBs taking deposits, and my local, who I prefer to support, ceased taking deposits, and from his description, he's not entirely sure how the distribution of 321s to his OB will be. A few? Enough to satisfy interested customers? Nobody is sure, and nobody is disclosing information, so what do I do if I am looking seriously for a 321 with the list price at 14k?

Yes, it's just a watch, but also something aspirational and brings a bit of joy, something that could be passed down to my son. Nobody is getting any younger, and nobody seems to know what to expect regarding the 321s from OBs, unless you had previously put in for a full deposit - which is wait and see. Perhaps I am little potatoes, and should not aspire to such an interesting piece. Message received, so to speak.

According to my OB, a rather large one in the U.S., the SS321 allocations worked differently (for them) than the Snoopy allocations.

On the SS321B, the OBs got to drive the allocations of what came into them. I didn’t here anything about the decisions of what we’re sent to the OB. But once it got to the OB, they used a multi-factorial seeming system of (1) generally vetting whether they thought someone was actually interested in the watch for personal use, and then (2) the chronological order in which full deposits were made. E.g., in my case, I was #3 on the list, and ahead of me were the boutiques #1 and #2 clients based on annual sales. I suspect they were in before me because they were contacted by SAs before the widespread press release. I called to get on the list within minutes of the release. I waited almost exactly 1 year (356 days to be exact).

As for the Snoopy, I talked to the same sales people well after the release (I was not a motivated buyer for the Snoopy), and they reported a unique ever approach to Snoopy allocations. Unlike with the 321B, the OB were collecting the info of the interested, but - at least early on - it was HQ that was then sending allocated watches to specific buyers, with the watches arriving at the OB with a named buyer attached by HQ. In this instance, for example, as of a few months ago the OB’s #2 largest client received his first; reportedly this was to some disappointment by the OB, given the #1 was well and away larger than #2.

Everyone’s mileage may vary here depending on jurisdiction, OB influence, or degree of sales b.s. baked into any of these anecdotal stories.

There are the reports of 4 ~”nobodies” (or at least a few of the 4) simultaneous taking delivery of the earliest Snoopys in Australia.

So, to my reply just above, what would you recommend? I have contacted my OB, reached out to several other OBs and ADs, and am on wait lists, though no full deposit. My OB is not taking deposits (partial or full), and is not able to determine if or how many he might receive. I discovered the 321 months after it was announced, and the turbulence of deposits /availability / wait listing seems a bit confusing. I admit, I haven't been a long time customer with my OB, though I have purchased several Speedmasters through him. Perhaps I am little potatoes, and that's an unspoken message regarding my possibility to get a 321.

I do love the way the applied logo is virtually dark most of the time but when the light catches that and the ceramic bezel it shines....

Honestly, I am comparatively little potatoes. I just kept checking in, made sure they knew I was serious and then I got the call. I don’t know how many they get, and I do think they’ve been a bit more prevalent in the U.K. but I’m sure you will get one.

I checked in because I wanted to know how I was getting on on the ‘list’. They couldn’t find me in it so I sent the mail from the SA last august. The manager apologised profusely and of course I said no issues but let him know that I was serious and had the money ready to transfer as an when they got one.

2 weeks later I got the call.

I get pissed off on the Rolex forum when people say that to me, but in this case it worked.

hang in there. It’ll happen.
