I could be wrong but this "feels" like one of those where you get a message shortly before the sale that's like "actually, I can't meet at the Boutique, do you mind meeting in the parking lot of the McDonalds on 5th street?" Maybe it's an amazing stroke of luck, but I wouldn't be getting my hopes up until someone at a Boutique confirmed it's authenticity or until I didn't end up a "craigslist statistic".

Simple...If the seller doesn't show up at the boutique, you don't hand over your money!

I'm busy preparing my review but here's one I posted on IG today for "#MacroMonday" 😀

The only "good" reason to sell an Ed White 3 weeks after purchase is an unexpected financial hardship...in which case you'd be trying to get as much as you can out of it. I'd be interested in their reason for selling before even devoting any time or thought to the sale.

If I was selling mine I wouldn’t want to do it anywhere near an OB. I’d leave this well alone.

Keep these coming.

Also, just got off the phone with my OB rep. Said she checked with their regional guy and there's no special "application" process for a 321 or "getting HQ to approve a buyer" for an allocation, their number just hasn't come up yet when sending them out but that they'll be getting one in the next couple months and it's mine when it shows. All but the biggest boutiques will only see 1 a year come in. Said shutting down the factory for Covid resulted in well under the projected 1k movements a year and that the couple hundred they have managed to make are split between the platinum and steel models. So, I'll be posting pics on here soon enough.

Already met at omega boutique but they just can’t authenticate the watch and only say the watch seems real enough. Does all brand new omega come with this plastic box?

Strange they couldn't check as there is a serial no. I have seen the plastic coffin for legit pieces being used.

Well, if Omega Boutique can't authenticate caliber 321, who can. No way this could be a replica. Doesn't look like a Seagull 😀

All seems real enough, the only suspicious point is only the price, even the sales in OB felt suspicious, and the retail stamp on warranty card is a bit blur, already asking the seller go back to buying retail shop restamp warranty card. OB ask us go to service center for 100% authenticate the watch but it seems not a possible option for an brand new watch, and I don’t think the seller will agree this option.

Man that looks really good if it’s a replica. Might want to get a look at the omega laser etching on the sapphire as well as a peak at the original sales receipt if he’s willing just to get a warm fuzzy. Otherwise I’d say you scored a good transaction.

If it is replica I will never believe private seller. He already give me all the proof and showed in OB, it is such a shame local OB just can’t authenticate it, they said they can’t sure is any part was replaced before.

If you met in the Boutique where it was originally purchased from surely they would know. If it wasn’t you could contact the Boutique from the address on the invoice and speak to them. As far as I am aware they have only been released either directly from Omega’s individual country’s HQ or at their Boutiques (though am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong).

Damn, does that original receipt indicate the original OB ATE the 7% tax via discount? This whole thing makes my brain hurt. Person buys one of the rarest and hardest to source watches at the moment, not for retail, but for 7% off retail! Then, proceeds to try and sell it 2 weeks later, presumably for close to breaking even when they could make a good 30%+ profit without much effort. The ONLY thing that would make sense is if this watch was stolen and they're making 100% profit, someone grabbed the bag with the receipt or fabricated one.

The 7% is sales tax, and yes, we all felt weird and hard to believe the low price point. If the watch serial number can checked by OB if it’s the real one or the stolen one, I can immediately make the decision, just shame they can’t check the serial number, I wonder is it because their new random serial number system?Currently seller try to restamp at the boutique, and if everything go wells I might buy the watch. And also something need to mention, when we checking the watch in OB, he is standing alone outside of boutique without get in there because he said he is in vip list of omega and afraid removed from list by Omega if they know he is selling the watch.

That is super suspicious. The more likely conclusion is that he doesn't want to end up on security camera fencing a stolen watch. You've got a copy of the receipt and the serial, they have everything they need to find out which boutique sold it, who bought the watch, etc. so even if the "I've got to stay out of the store because I'm so famous and recognizable they're going to log into a secret Omega server and flag me as a flipper" story was true, they'll know he sold it.

Call up the boutique at Orchard Turn and ask 😗
Not sure if he really afraid getting captured by camera, but he said he is waiting his snoopy, and it will arrived soon, if everything he said is true then of course he is a flipper, and I think it is ok to be a flipper too, if I call omega for confirm the watch will I become the bad guy for ruining his business. Is it true if you get caught selling watch privately will removed from omega vip list?

As far as I know there is no “list” the way he’s talking about it and if he was a flipper he’d want 20-30% more than he’s selling it to you for. If he is a flipper, screw him and report it, that’s not a “business”, that’s just getting between enthusiasts and their dreams. If it’s real, my money is on stolen.
