Do you know if your OB had to "lobby" on your behalf, proving your worth of the allocation or did it just show up as part of a shipment?

It was sad to see my first-born go. But we can always make another 😉

Honestly, I am not sure the inner workings of the allocation process. To further complicate things, my OB was actually closed (permanently) last year during COVID. My account was transferred and somehow merged. How that affected the timeline I could not tell you. While I was worried about losing that relationship, the new boutique has been great to work with 👍

There's hope yet, then.

Just received mine yesterday from my OB! I have been waiting for what feels like forever and am really happy with the watch. Truly beautiful piece, especially that view of the movement. Stunning!
Congrats! 👍
Enjoy in good health and by all means, let's see how it looks on your wrist 😉

I received an offer of new Ed White from private seller with almost MSRP which is huge difference compared with the price on C24, do you guys think it’s a excellent chance to bite the bullet?

You’d have to buy the seller on this one. If you 100% trust I would say go for it. The watch impressed me more than I expected with the refinement and build quality. It’s very comfortable and the bracelet is bangin!

Yeah I’m not sure who waits 12+ months (likely with deposit) for an allocation of the priciest SS speedy only to sell at MSRP.

Unless this private seller is a friend or coworker of yours and you do this transaction in person, don't do it.

You know how this one goes... if something is too good to be true...

Is that any news about new Ed white already got replica? Seems not so easy to clone with a display caseback.

If it is legit and you want the watch then jump on it. It looks ok in the pics.

it’s a bit strange someone probably waiting ages and moving on at retail, but that’s the bit you need to work out.

hope it all works out. It’s a brilliant watch.

I've not seen any, however, no fake, in fact no watch at all, is required for a scam.

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Ask yourself why someone would sell a $14,100 watch (that they apparently bought and paid tax on less than a month ago) to lose money selling at MSRP when they could make $4-7k in profit selling online. I mean, I'm first on the list at my boutique, have been for over a year and I would still probably pay a couple extra hundred, maybe a thousand without an argument just because of the uncertainty my shop will ever get one and this person's just like "eh, I'll let it go for a loss after 3 weeks".

Not exactly MSRP actually, I wonder price in US 14000usd is it tax include or exclude. Seller offer me about 15000usd and of course I’m surprise and feeling suspicious but if I can make the deal at omega boutique will you guys deal with this seems “suspicious” seller?(p.s. the seller already agree to deal at omega boutique, and he also tell me ad will authenticates the watch and will forfeit it if it is a fake one, is it true?)

Sounds like a good plan to me. Amazing you were able to get this deal at near MSRP, with an OB. All locally. As if “too good to be true” wasn’t good enough. Also the US price does not include tax. I spent $15+. Looking forward to the incoming if you close it.

That would be amazing news indeed. Just be careful.

Which is more likely: 1) a collector is giving up a highly-desirable watch for that they paid for it only a couple of weeks later for a stranger's (and potential flipper's) enjoyment OR 2) You're being taken for a ride.
