Such a great watch, congratulations.

I so hope that my wait isn't too long.

Have you been given any idea from your OB how long the wait may be?

No date or any indication given, all they will say is that I'm on the list.

But if the gossip that I was told by the store is to be believed then with only 10 watches coming to the UK in the near future it could be a long, long, long time before my name pops to the top of the list, if it ever does. I guess that the VVIP's are going to get them, the VIP's may get one and Joe Average has a snowflake in hell's chance. I really do hope that the gossip is wrong.

Oh dear, I guess that makes me a VIP then? Anyway, I can only second that. From the numbers I heard at the OB, even in Switzerland this is pretty much unobtainium at the moment.

Yes, it remains to be seen, hoping you get a watch sooner than later! I am in the U.S. and it is basically the same here. We will have to wait and see if they are able to begin delivering more watches going forward.

It's awesome that you got yours so soon! It sounds like the folks that have deposits on one will be waiting for a long time, and maybe not even see one... It's a beautiful watch, I'm hoping to get mine sooner than later...

that have deposits on one

Did you make a deposit?
I would hope they only ask you to do so, if there's a realistic chance you can get one within 6 or 12 months?

I made a deposit, I was thinking that I needed to get on the list sometime... I am hoping that it won't be an overly long wait, but after hearing that only 2 or so have landed in the U.S. so far, I am thinking it will be quite some time before I get the call.

Hope so too for you!

I made a deposit too, with the indication that it would “probably” take less than a year. But based on what I’m reading here, that might be naive....

Based on the posts here and the Facebook Speedmaster group, there have been a decent amount of deliveries this month compared to the past 3-4 months. Unfortunately, it seems like they were in Europe, Asia, Australia. Maybe the next batch of deliveries will be for the western continents.

Starting to show up on chrono 24. £16-17k seems like the mark.

am I wrong to be tempted?

Yes, don’t feed into grey market flippers. Better to maybe spend the over they’re asking on something else at Omega so that you can have something to show for it, and continue to establish your relationship.

The reason I got mine was because I go to my boutique often, talk watches, refer friends, and buy often.

I have found that I have never paid grey market prices, have much more to show for it, and my collection overall is worth 30% more than I paid for it.

in the process I’ve made great friends, had tons of fun, and get to enjoy more watches than had I went on chrono and paid over for the hard to get pieces.

I don’t really need a relationship building lesson. I go to my AD all the time and have a really good relationship and get the pieces I want within reason along with a good spending record (not at VIP levels however). They won’t let me put a deposit down to secure one of these as they don’t know if they will get one at all and it’s slightly different given the volumes being made. The OB’s are all in London and I’ve not been to one since March due to Covid and won’t be going back any time soon.

my point largely was that the premium isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. If there really are 10-20 watches a year making it to the U.K., you could have expected higher (esp given the near 100 long wait lists at my regular OB’s per my enquiries). Equally, if omega continue their price rises over the next 3 years this easily could be a 14-15k watch by the time many of us mere mortals get the chance to own one. That Makes 16 to wear it now seem more reasonable than at first glance.

I’ve used greys in the past, and while I wouldn’t pay the 100% premium for a Daytona, I thought the c.35% on this was actually ok in comparison. Don’t feed the flippers is a nice line if you can actually get your hands on rare and hard to get pieces - you hear it on Rolex forums all the time. Some of us don’t have that luxury or want to spend cash on watches we don’t want to have a chance of getting one we will. In some circumstances it’s the best, in some cases only, route in.

Anyway, back to the watch. It looks lovely and I can’t wait to see one in the metal.

With al due respect, 30% would be considered a steal in a years time. Given the low volumes, it is expected.

The only reason the 2 in chrono24, have not sold is the use of a stock photo and not of the actual watch. Given no more than 20 pieces had been delivered, it seem unlikely they have them.

No need to get defensive. You asked the forums opinion if we thought it was wrong to pay grey market mark up. I gave my opinion, as someone who received this piece.

Anyway, it is a wonderful piece and I hope you get it.

I watch Chrono24 just as a reference but I’ve never bought or sold there. I’m surprised sellers are allowed to create posts without proof of the item.

I know that until just a day or two ago Chrono24 didn’t have enough information to value the 321 and just listed the retail price. It is now showing what I assume is the average list price as the value.

I’m not defensive - merely pointing out a fact.

I hope I get it too. In the meantime, enjoy yours. It’s a beautiful watch.

I doubt the chrono24 sellers actually have the watch. Why would you not use photos of the actual watch in the listing if it’s legit?

So you guys still haven't received your EW 321s? Even my cat got one already
LOL
All kidding aside, I received mine a few weeks ago and it got confiscated by my cat as usual
So I guess Yokozuna is the 1st cat to receive an Ed White 321

Seems a lot more than 20 have been delivered. Know people in Australia that are getting theirs very soon.
