I know you guys know all about the watch already but I thought I'd share some first thoughts and just let you know that there is another on in London and how great it finally is to have it (despite the price September price rise).

Here one photo for now but I'll post a couple more tomorrow when I can see this thing properly in the day light. I'm off to raise a glass!!!!

What is the price? It was 12xxx, but now its 119xx, very confusing

I got an email this morning from a wonderful manager of one of the London Omega boutique's, who let me know that the wait was finally over. I headed down about an hour or two later and finally have this beauty - 321 in steel - on my wrist ... how great it finally is to have it (despite the price September price rise)...
Congrats!!! 👍::psy:: I'm happy for you and look forward to you sharing many wristshots to come 😁

Re. price hike... just what this reference needed... SIGH. Just checked, €13.9K now... well, at least it's still under 14K... 🙄 😉

Mine says hi! Probably one of the first few in the US.

Wow, congratulations! I've been told that only 2 of these were delivered here in the US so far, to VVIPs. This is very recent info. I am assuming that you had purchased multiple precious metal pieces to get this allocation...

It's £11,950 in the UK. I got quoted over 12 by the boutique but they ironed out the pricing. I'm just trying to put that bit behind me now haha!

I should take some photos of the Ed white next to the Apollo 11 in more detail, but the bracelets are not the same. Clasp appears the same, and overall they are the same design, but the Ed white feels a bit thinner. I think it’s because the Apollo 11 is in the standard moon watch case where this one is more similar to the FOIS/CK2998 case. Among all of my speedies, this one is by far the highest quality with the most attention to detail. I would say that it is on par with a PP/VC/AP in many respects.

Good luck to all who are on the list. It’s worth the wait and the expense.

I can't believe there are only 10 allocated to the UK each year 😕

I would suspect every OB must have a wait list for the 321, let alone how many ADs on top, I can't see customers waiting over a decade for an assigned piece... I do get however current production maybe lower due to this years upheaval.

Omega stated that there will be no more than 2000 of the 321 watches produced a year, so if you take off a 100 or so Platinum versions for the ultra rich that leaves around 1900 to cover the rest of the planet each year, that isn't many watches for any country.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to have a minimum of 200 people requesting the Stainless Steel version of the watch at OB's in the UK so we are in for a bloody long wait.

I guess that the USA and the far east will get a few more, maybe a couple of hundred or so a year, whichever way it goes there aren't going to be many around.

Maybe the 3861 Speedmaster will be a better bet for our money.

.

Omega are going to sell more than 100 platinum a year. Read somewhere they had already sold or had on order a lot more than 500 before the steel came out.

If this is true, and I have no reason to disbelieve you, and these figures are replicated on an annual basis then this makes the situation far worse for those waiting for a SS 321, with only around 1500 SS watches available worldwide then it is going to take many many years for people to rise to the top of the list, if they ever do.

When you take all this into account, getting your hands on a new 321 of any description is going to be one hell of an achievement.

If I remember correctly the 2000 321 movements were going to be evenly split between platinum and steel per omega on a video (think it was watch advisor). So maybe even worse.

that said even if it’s 1000 units per year, I’d expect the U.K. to get more than 10. Maybe 50-100 as I guess they’ll send where they have the biggest lists. Even so, my OB has 100 people on the list so the wait will be long.

I think they said the split was 500/1500 as max capacity.

I'm guessing once they run out of meteor rock, the platinum will be discontinued. At that point, they'll be producing SS only. Do we have any extremely wealthy people here that want to buy several 1000 platinum 321's?

I think they said split 50/50 between the 2. In the WA. Video they say roughly 1000 pieces per year when talking about the steel ( you may be referring to another video)

whether you are right or not on wealthy punters, that’s what has been said (by The omega fella) Although you’d think they’d skew it a bit towards the more accessible watch as time goes on I suppose.....

The UK is just a small fish, USA to get a good number followed by the far east, not sure how many Europe including the UK will get but maybe 300 across the whole of Europe, that doesn't allow many watches per country.
