At 4:25 he mentioned about case 'facets' and how initially early Speedmasters don't have these 'facets' from the factory. It was only introduced after service. Is this true? I thought the new Ed White doesn't have facets/bevels because it took inspiration from -64. Only -64 has no facets.

I know early Railmasters and Seamaster 300s didn't have these facets, but I'm not sure about the Speedmaster. That said, it is common for a lot of reground/refinished cases to have facets incorrectly shaped onto the case when the watch never had them.

I thought it was pretty cool that the Omega logo is engraved inside the sapphire crystal on the front of the watch.

I'm guessing it was magnified quite a bit in the photo?

Laser etched. If Rolex can etch their very detailed coronet, I'm sure Omega will have little trouble pulling it off perfectly 😉

Sapphire with logo is old news. All of the trilogy watches had it, inc the 2 with sapphire crystals.

I haven't posted in the Omega Forum before so I thought I'd save my first post for something a little special!

I got an email this morning from a wonderful manager of one of the London Omega boutique's, who let me know that the wait was finally over. I headed down about an hour or two later and finally have this beauty - 321 in steel - on my wrist.

My first impression is just wow. The fit and finish is fantastic. The size and proportions works really well and one of the most impressive parts of the whole thing is the bracelet. Extremely comfy and for how thin it is, it feels very robust indeed. I love the step in the dial and even the slightly darker hour markers and hands with the subtle 'fauxtina.' It gives the watch a warmth I think it needs.

I know you guys know all about the watch already but I thought I'd share some first thoughts and just let you know that there is another on in London and how great it finally is to have it (despite the price September price rise).

Here one photo for now but I'll post a couple more tomorrow when I can see this thing properly in the day light. I'm off to raise a glass!!!!

I called in to my Watches of Switzerland run Omega Boutique this morning, and whilst having a chat with the team there we discussed the 321, their information is that production of the 321 is such that only 10 Stainless Steel watches per year are going to come to the UK.

Now if you are only making a maximum of 2000 321 watches per year, some of those are in Platinum then the distribution of these watches is going to be pretty small in every country and 10 pieces in the UK is not unreasonable.

Whilst the AD has confirmed that I am on the list for a 321 their view is that my wait could be a good few years before I can have one, disappointing but sod all that I can do about it, I am just going to have to be patient.

So to anyone who is fortunate enough to get hold of one of these watches you have been extremely lucky and I am very envious. 🤬

I placed a deposit for a 321 a few weeks back, I was told that it would be 2 years or so before I see one. I wonder how many are being allocated to the U.S. on an annual basis? I'm really looking forward to getting one, they are beautiful! It's great seeing them pop-up here, nice to see them being delivered and being enjoyed by the folks lucky enough to receive one.

Wow, only 10! Some people are going to be waiting longer for this watch than a Daytona.

I can't believe there are only 10 allocated to the UK each year 😕

I would suspect every OB must have a wait list for the 321, let alone how many ADs on top, I can't see customers waiting over a decade for an assigned piece... I do get however current production maybe lower due to this years upheaval.
