one giant leap for Omega ...

Thank you. I fully agree with his remarks and conclusions. The termination of the 1861 looks plausible. It's the only way to anchor the speedmaster "brand value" and price higher.

I believe this is a great watch. Modern materials are needed for the price tag specially.
But with that vintage touch.
Omega will never be able to please everyone.

The human nature is to complain.

Im on the list and if I am able to afford and like it when I see it. I will keep it.

Hi guys
Any ideas already when this watches will be delivered? (Website still only mentions early 2020).
And will there be really only 1000-2000 pieces produced per year worldwide?

I've been told the first ones are estimated to be delivered in June by the OM in London.

I heard on a podcast that the calibre 321 is very difficult to regulate accurately? Any truth in this?

@MTROIS and I were at an OB last night and asked about the c321s. They said much the same as before. 100 are being distributed to the USA. They said they are no longer taking deposits or adding names to their lists, as they expect only a couple of them to be sold in their OB in the short run. They had no sense of timing, only guesses, hoping for deliveries this year. They also mentioned having sold one platinum c321 to date.

They probably would have told us more, but @MTROIS was wearing a Tin Tin, and that ring of red and white kept distracting them😝.

Fun facts: Virtually no one in the OB knows how to set up an X-33. The most commonly sold models are Seamasters and DeVilles. Only the watch folks like us go for those "strange old hand-wound watches with no date, and plastic crystals on them instead of sapphire."

The internal cascading of info within the Swatch Group / Omega may vary from region to region, but in the EU, the OB heads will gather at Omega HQ in March to get the big 2020 picture. Everything before that is speculation, imho.

Having said that, rumor around the 'Net has the roll-out starting around end 1st Qtr.

On this very first Speedy Tuesday of 2020, we have some exciting news to share with you. I really hope it’s not a FOIS case with just reshaped lugs. What bothers me most about it is how the bezel overhangs the case

Yes.
Regarding the lug width; will it be 19mm or 20mm?
19mm.
13,000? Is that accurate? And isn't this likely the case from the FOIS with glass and 19mm lugs? Why would they remake the same case?
€13.2K, to be accurate. The lugs are shaped differently as well and btw, integral to the case. What kind of case would you like to have an Ed White in... ?

I guess this will be the case for all "Speedmasters" with 39.7mm black bezels (the steel bezels are thinner - 38.6mm)...
