The gold one had a lovely heft and warmth to it but I wasn't keen on the bezel colour and the price is a bit prohibitive although arguably not bad value for a solid gold piece with this level of detailing.

Sorry forgot to add. They didn’t have any information as to when the watches would arrive but their best guesstimate was September 2019.

I think the info. they have been feeding you is all guesswork.

Tried it on twice but didn’t take any pics of it on my wrist. Looked good though. The gold is very understated. Just got one rubbish iPhone pic.

I can’t work out if I like it or not. I’m in the lucky position of being number 1 on my list (they are apparently getting 4 or 5) so will have the option and I certainly wouldnt just take it to speculate. As I see it, I love the bracelet, love the gold bits as they are not too overdone, but I just have reservations about the dial colour. Are the photos an accurate representation of what it really looks like or does it change in person?

The gold is less obvious and more subtle on the wrist than in the pics. On the wrist at a glance it doesn’t look too dissimilar to my Apollo Soyuz meteorite.

Let's hope that Omega has their act together and delivery will be made on schedule starting in July and ending by the end of the year.

I haven't heard any update from my OB yet. If I find a time frame, I'll certainly post it here!

Agree. This is a commemorative watch and in my opinion makes no difference whether or not it is flight certified. It would be a different story if the released a new standard issue speedmaster professional that was not.

I had the chance to put this watch on my wrist last night at the Omega event in Bluewater, Kent. I have to say that I was surprised just how light the watch is compared to my 2019 vintage Moonwatch, I was expecting the watch to be heavier due to the inclusion of the gold. The strap is much slimmer in both profile and width than the 'Moonwatch' and that may be were the weight has been lost. The dial is awesome and the gold on the bezel and the dial adds so much to the overall look of the watch. Those of you that are going to be lucky enough to get hold of this watch are getting a very very nice timepiece indeed.

I did ask if all the watches had been allocated and was the waiting list still open, I was told that the waiting list was closed and no further orders were being accepted.

Very nice photo, the manager from the OB were I will get mine from was at the event, the news on delivery was a little vague but he mention Aug\Sept.

Also, when you say the width of the bracelet was slimmer than the Moonwatch are you saying that it was less than 20mm wide?

The bracelet is slimmer in profile, i.e. the depth of each link, we compared both my Moon and the 50th side by side, the side on profile is a lot slimmer, I didn't measure the width of the bracelet lug to lug so cannot comment, my memory is a bit hazy (too much champagne) but I seem to remember that the bracelet tapered to the clasp which is very nice with the old Omega logo on the end, but I am more than happy to be corrected on that.

Hope this helps, you have one very nice watch heading your way.

These are the photos I took last week, never had an Omega before but it did not feel chunky or heavy, can’t wait for it to arrive. In fact I’m so excited and it’s so beautiful I am tempted to buy a “standard” Moon watch as a daily rather than scratch this LE up!

Have seen in person. Sweet watch but the spaceman is a distraction and makes subdial too hard to read IMHO
