Was surprised to learn I still could put my name on their reservation list in Belgium of what they expect to be allocated to them. Also had the chance too see the gsotm with meteorite dial in the flesh. It looked great colourscheme wise and felt light as a feather. It is too big for my small wrist but the best option of all the variations.

Superb watch in person, the bracelet and clasp are absolutely 10/10, I hope they reuse it on more models and maybe one day offer it for sale in place of the 1171 for vintage watches as it is the best they’ve ever made and feels perfect on the wrist.

Dial is really nice and elegant too, the gold is quite understated and works well with the overall look, highly recommend it and the only reason I’m holding off is to keep my powder dry for the 321 later in the year or early 2020.

I’m not crazy about the clasp. I just don’t like the buttons on the side. I know is a modern clasp with a vintage look but it is the only thing that I don’t like of the watch.

Although friction clasps work fine the trend has been towards push button clasps, they give an impression of higher quality and more security. I have both and as long as they work as intended either one is fine.

I also have watches with both types of clasps but I am not too crazy about this particular one. It’s not too bad to make me want to cancel my reservation.

Hardly a ringing endorsement! Other folk have commented on how comfortable this is on the wrist. I've not tried it but I'm hoping that it lives up to my expectations on the comfort side of things. I thought it looked good too.

I was unsure about this watch I’ve been guaranteed one by the omega boutique.
After seeing it in picture form and seeing it in reality I’m glad I’ve pu my deposit down.
I went to the omega roadshow and tried it on and wow it comfortable and the true colours of this watch in real life are stunning.
I love the design and buzz coming down the step ladder.
All in all it’s a very functional luxury tool watch.

As I left home for the event, my wife shouted, "Don't spend any money." I'm now sleeping in the car and eating takeaway meals. 😉

Everyone got a goodie bag as they left. In mine was a rather nice metal ballpoint pen and the gold coloured Spaceman pin badge. There were smaller bags that I presume were for the ladies?

where can i buy this pen? (only a gift...?)

My son sold an omega carrier bag for £25.00 on eBay

Damn, I put mine in the bin, now there’s a lesson learnt

Thank you. It was a lot of work in terms of 'hassling' the AD but he has done a great job in making my requests known to Omega. Interesting re. the numbers going to Germany. I wonder if anyone else knows what their country's allocation is? I'm not sure what the UK is going to get but I guess the gold will be less than 20 but I've not got a clue re. the steel.
My understanding from my OB is that there will be around 960 SS pieces allocated for the US Market.....

That sounds about right. Back in March I was told 'around 800 or so' were US bound but Omega was still working on the allocation. So 960 is 13.8% of the total.

And one of the biggest pimps for this immediately lists it at a big premium. What a surprise. So all the posts about how great looking and significant it was were just pump and dump bullshit then? Hat’s off for using the min hand to mask Buzz’s butt. Creative!

Reported. You've crossed a line today with your systematic abuse of me on nearly every post i've made about this piece. I shouldn't, and won't, justify myself to anyone on what I decide to do with my items. You clearly seem to have a problem with me. This forum shouldn't be a place where people are made to feel uncomfortable everytime they comment. I've screenshotted it so don't bother deleting.

Absolutely I have a problem. I don't like hypocrites or those that set out to deceive and gain commercial advantage at the expense of the membership. I see it as exploititive and contrary to the spirit of the forum. I have no problem at all with flipping the watch, it is the behaviour leading up to this point.

Feel free to rebutt my earlier comment if you feel it was inaccurate. Did you not push this piece as the best thing since sliced bread, shout down any contrary views and when challenged on another thread clearly deny that you were going to flip it as soon as you got it? Thus had a vested interest in maintaining a positive outlook on it, at the expense of honesty and fair discussion.

I'm not going to entertain this anymore with you padders. I've said my piece and I will continue to comment on any watch as I am entitled to and buy/sell as I wish to. Thankyou and good day.
