·I agree that the black/grey looks better. I actually think that the color scheme is one of the strong points of this watch.

Epic!!
Haha. There’s loads I don’t know about watches. No idea what a “milky ring” is. Didn’t know the watch was co-axial, and had to actually google what co-axial meant 😵💫. Few other things I’ve googled too since reading this thread.
For me I just love the look of the watch. Only learned it existed last week on the day I posted in this thread. Happy to have a deposit down though. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

I don’t know what milky ring is neither. So it’s epic for me too
If this commemorates the Apollo 11 lunar mission why is the case back devoted to an event of 1962?

Look at the opaque light grey ring around the edge of the crystal in the 1st image on the 1st page of this thread. That is the effect you get with sapphire crystals. You don't get it with hesalite crystals. I suppose it is caused by refraction of light or some such effect (my high school physics was looong ago) due to the properties of the sapphire.
Ok, I might be wrong but I am pretty sure someone people will help me out here. The back case that you are showing is from a LE called First Omega in Space, referring to an event in 62. The Apollo 11 is about the first watch to be “on” the Moon in 69.
The case back image is on the 1st page of this thread. It's all about 1969. 😉
