·One of my interests/hobbies is combat sports, and as I became more aware of the soccer aimed Seamaster chronographs, it occurred to me that if ever there was a sport that cried out for a complication of its own, it was boxing. My further research suggests that (digital stopwatches with programmable intervals aside), there are really only the Heuer Ringmaster stopwatch from the 1950s, a limited black Ringmaster watch by Tag Heuer in about 1985, and the Tag Heuer Ringmaster Muhammad Ali from about 2016. The former two seem difficult to acquire, and I'm not mad about the engraving of Muhammad Ali on the back of the 2016 version.
Is anyone aware of any other watches or stopwatches designed to time boxing? My current thought is that I'm going to keep an eye out for the 1950s Ringmaster stopwatch, with its interchangeable ring design for different sports, or measuring heart rate or respiration rate.
Amongst my researches I also saw (and I can't remember where) in some comments about the 2016 Tag Heuer a suggestion that what would make a fantastic boxing watch would be a complication that made a chime at the beginning and end of each round like a bell. I love that idea.
