Box of possibilities- vintage lot

So I have been cleaning out my watch drawers and finding all kinds of crap. The following are all watches I purchased on eBay with high hopes- some working some not. These had so much potential in my compromised insomniatic brain state. But in the clear light of day I just won’t get around to them.

Greun bumper is around ‘49 with the “Switzerland” dial. When you hand wind it you can feel it slip and lose tension. It runs for a few then stops. Bought it as “runs well”- clearly not.

This Helbros came with another watch I bought in a lot- love the red second hand. Dead as a door nail.

This Benrus was from my Smurf period. It actually runs great. Case is chrome plated which is heavily worn but evenly and not pitted or flaky- just brassy, it’s rather pretty. It’s an early Japanese auto like the cheap Seiko movements that don’t manually wind- you just have to shake them and wear them to get them going.

I went on a Swank bender- these are exactly the same as as the Yema and LeJour Gran Sporto of the same time period. Chrome plating is in excellent shape. It runs and keeps time then randomly stops. This is the watch that Rolex copied for the Kermit…suck it Rolex!

Invicta….yes, that Invicta but before they became the watch of the Axe body spray crowd. This one actually keeps time fine- just needs a clean up.

This one is the jewel of the bunch- stunning Elgin Shockmaster (I have a thing for the Shockmasters- you could spend your life collecting them) runs great with awesome power reserve- no stories on this one, it just wears a little small for me so I don’t wear it,

Bulova waffle dial…I have another that’s similar so this one just sat in the box and never got serviced- DOA but parts for these are abundant on eBay.

A stunner of a stainless Belforte. This one runs very fast, like 15min/hour. It’s clearly in a hurry to get somewhere.

Awesome black dialed Mido with a larger case (like 33.5) and the tear-drop lugs but it’s dead-dead.

These are being sold as a lot- I am pricing the lot at $350 conus shipping included which comes out to $38.88 per watch including the working ones. It is sadly well below what I have into them (I had such high hopes) but my shattered dreams could be your prized accomplishments.

Who wants to take on the challenge of getting them where they need to be while wearing a groovy Shockmaster and the Smurf Lord.

This is like a box of free puppies sitting outside a Toy store.

Put a package deal of 2 DJ’s, a Sub and a GMT up for $10 and I’ll personally help you beat the 1 minute sales record and package deal award.

Oh no- she fully endorsed the clearing of watches…as long as it’s not ones she likes. She has to approve which ones are getting sold,
