Yeah I didnt expect this as well. Got a personal email from the manager and he's so sorry for this and he said its clearly unacceptable. He asked me to bring the watch tomorrow and they will swap it for a brand new one since they have a delivery this week. Thanks
So just wondering, what happens to the month old watch that is taken back? Sent back to JLC so they can deal with it, maybe a dial replacement? Or maybe dealer replaces the strap and puts it back in the case as a brand new watch for the next customer to buy? Like any manufactured item it can only be new once, this is clearly a used watch now. Maybe that next new watch you buy from an AD isn't really new at all.
Yes I will still ask until they give me the perfect piece I dont care because its my hard earned money and I expect a perfect piece. I owned omegas and rolexes and I didnt get this kind of problem even I used my macro lense/loop because I love those tiny details example is my moonphase chrono I bought the watch because its beautiful and mainly because of those tiny moonboot print. Thanks for your advice anyway but I will push for a brand new one.

I have had two positive dealings with JLC ADs .. In Chicago they sourced and replaced my Reverso strap with one that fit better, allowing me to enjoy the watch for a bit before coming back to swap it out. In Paris they went to bat for me months after purchase to recover my VAT. At both the purchase experience was fantastic. This watch is not typical of JLC quality but the their dealer response is. I鈥檓 happy the matter is being sorted.
Blown away by your macro skills... wow!
Simple: You bought the watch new from an AD and if that speck is not a natural product of the material they use to lume the markers on the dial then the watch should be replaced no questions asked. I applaud JLC for their decision in this matter.
Remind me never to take such incredible macro shots of my watches...
If you have someone less than 20 yrs old in your house, have them take a look at it. With the contrast of colors, I think this would actually fail visual inspection.
A very good result.
I would love to know what happens to that dial. I suspect a solvent will be used in minute quantity, viol脿 instant repair !
Where to then ? Maybe a good buy as a "demonstrator"?
Wait, in the future you will have the rare dot on dot variation. Just keep it and enjoy it.
What city do you live in? If you're close to me, I'll swing by there and make them an offer on that "scrap" JLC.
