Blancpain Barakuda... any expert to help me out?

Dear forum members

I was offered this Blancpain barakuda and I would like to know what you think before I jump in. Let me star with the negative side, the price: 22k€ which for me is a bit steep but this watch doesn’t come often for sale so price assessment was/is complicated for me. Mostly because IMO this brand I attracts only a small niche of watch collectors.

Apart from that, everything seems to be in very good condition: tritium, case, dial, movement, reference number... but I would still appreciate immensely everyone’s opinion.

First time I saw this post; a good friend of mine actually collects Blancpain almost exclusively. @NotAClue was there any further info on the watch? History, box/docs, etc? My pal back in Phoenix isn't much for forums, but I'd be happy to ask him what he knows of them - heck, he may have one; I know he snagged/was able to snag a Mokarran as soon as they debuted.

Is that russian seller still around that was into pocket watches? He was big on blankpain. He think he caught some flak as people thought he was trying to sell watches here before he had 200 posts but he was just trying to show some pieces he picked up he really liked. I’ll dig through my pm’s we had a conversation about Vostoks a while back.

Ya I remember as we had a couple side conversations. Definitely had some translations issues but I never make fun of anyone communicating in a second language the only Russian I know is “Da”
