Black Eternamatic - possible redial?

I bought this watch a few days ago and everything looked ok until it arrived. Something felt wrong though and I had my watchmaker look at it through a loupe. The laquer around the indices looks like sloppy work, is it possible that it slipped through, or could it be an early redial? Hands are rusty and the movement is very clean! Here are some photos, please let me know if you need more for a proper assessment. Seller has already accepted a return, so I am inclined to return it unless someone can convince me this is not a redial.

My feeling is that the alpha hands are earlier than the dial, but that is just based on a gut response and I'd have to do real research to be sure. If you've looked at a lot of photos, perhaps you've already found other examples.

The S\N points to 1954 as the production year. Even if the hands did not come with the watch originally, they are corroded and I can live with them. The biggest issue is the dial, I hope someone can provide a definitive answer.

I would have thought with a powerful enough loupe you would be able to inspect around the small round minute markers to see if it is a redial. I wouldn't have thought they would remove them to redial so there should be 'tells' there.

Dial looks good to me and the hands also seems correct, I have owned some Eternas from the 50's with these alpha hands.

Thanks for your input! Is it possible that Eterna was sloppy? I would be more reassured if someone else has a similar story.

Hard to see from these pictures but the laquer ages differently over the years and not impossible that the lacquer on this one just started loosen up beginning from the indices. Some chemical reaction maybe, perhaps some with more knowledge than me can chime in on that.

But the rest of the dial looks to good to me to be repainted.
