Well I have a seasmaster with the large decagonal crown so I guess this helps round out the collection

I think that Christos is likely correct, but I do think that the scalloped variety is very stylish. Of course my 14381 has the decagonal crown. 🫨

Well, assuming that the scalloped crown is not original, you probably wouldn’t have a difficult time selling it and the decagonal steel crowns are not that hard to find on the used market, especially service replacements.

I wouldn’t sweat the crown if you like the watch.
The fat decagonal crown is still available new from Omega - which, as part of the waterproofing system, is a bonus.

For the OP’s watch, I agreed with the original dial
, plus the original hands too.

My 2852 with the black pie-pan dial looks like this.
