Beware of “The Rolex Forum”

Has anyone had any issues with “The Rolex Forum”, the specialist forum dedicated to...erm...well...Rolex 😉
I posted about wanting one myself and needing advice to be abruptly told by members “ please type your search in the search bar this thread has been posted millions of timesalready” ...not exactly helpful is it!?
Then I got banned 3 hours later because I mentioned that the Rolex Air King in my eyes was absolutely ghastly and not to my liking at all ( only an opinion right ?) and I was permanently removed from the site on terms of “abuse of Rolex” haha. So I guess this is my new favourite forum to discuss watches, I just hope I don’t get banned from here for having an opinion.....

I’ve tried to use their forum and found it very hard to use. Maybe to keep the riff-raff out... guess that would be me. This OF is easy to use, well maintained and from what we can see, well monitored.

TRF is mainly new people posting to get their post count up, or BLNR/hulk incomings, + AD speculation, gets old quick! 😉

I was banned for life when I corrected some troglodyte on the RMB board that there is indeed a difference between the calendar mechanism on a GMTII, and a Date-Just! Bunch of effete twerps! Notice how adroitly I avoided name calling?

The only problems I have with it equate to the same problems this brave soul has when asked to find treasure...

Its not that the treasure is not there, its just so hard to find amidst all the other ...er ... stuff ...

I’ve been a member there for only a bit less time than I have been here. Granted, I don’t post much in either place, but I’ve not experienced any weirdness there OR here.

I’ve never had an issue myself but then again I hardly go there. There is some good information sometimes.

I will say thought that even in this forum we encourage searches because there are only so many rinse and repeat cycles in a lifetime.

<ranting>No offence but If it annoys you, how about just ignoring it ? Or thats too difficult for your ego filled with elitism?
I cant help but notice that off late there are several posts of trying to school posters who are comparatively new here on manmerism, morality, responsibility and what not! </ranting>
