The “midnight green” is a nice contrast to the strap imo. Not a color we see a lot in a dial. Looks black at certain angles. My Model 1 is the iron creme.

Here's my Unimatic Modello Uno U1-EM on wrist. Very much about the aesthetic of the dial and case design rather than the technical specs of the (rather) pedestrian movement. The lack of QC rather irked me though as the bezel lume pip does not line up exactly at the 12 o'clock marker -- it's half a click off either way.

I'd like the look of this watch better if the GMT hand wasn't misaligned in the photo. Doesn't speak to high attention to detail. But the diver looks pretty nice for the price.

Maybe it's just set to that for appearance. Watch is still being made 😉

Another +1 for Unimatic. I think they are my favorite independent.

They just released new models this week. I almost pulled the trigger. Will probably regret not buying when I see them on eBay with flipper markups.

I saw the other day that Helson are doing 15% off until 16th December. Lots of options there.

Helson did what omega should have and brought back the SM300. I love the sharkmaster 300.

heard good things of Maen watches. They use ETA or STP movements, which I prefer over the shoddy movements of (say) unimatic.

I'm really digging the not-Autavia that I can reasonably afford. Thanks for sharing - I was not familiar with this brand.

have a closer look at christopher ward. a british brand having its watches manufactured in Swizerland. great quality imho.

I would have been in agreement had I not seen this! When you read this, and the CW forum comments it appears the the CW forum is run by The company, which is a bit odd and leaves a bit of a grey area when customers think raising issues on the forum is somehow accessing the company’s customer services dept.

Freese101 also gets my vote

Wristpirate, I take it you secured one of the first batch! Nice!! I’ve put my order in for one from the second. Thanks to William for posting this otherwise I would have been none the wiser! (And £899 better off!,)

Any love here for Steinhart 39 GMT? Especially the ones with engraved ceramic bezels. Can’t seem to find any info if these came in any bi-color model.
