If only Freese would reply to their online enquiry form - sent on Sunday and still no reply. Perhaps too busy with services before Xmas??

Percymom, Use the email address and Simon will reply pretty quickly. I had the same problem. The trouble with those on line forms is that you don’t know if your communication was sent.

Just pulled the trigger this morning on the Timex Q! Very much below $1k USD, love the look! Probably a fair price at $179 tbh for what you get.

not really an 'independent' or small brand (not sure if timex are independent or not actually) but a cool affordable piece anyway!

I have a San Martin Tiger Shark dive watch. Pleasantly accurate with the Seiko NH-38 movement. They claim an NH-35 but there is no calendar.

Really enjoying wearing my Nodus . Only issue I find is when screwing in crown minute hand can jump easily which can be a pain . Otherwise a great watch

Lorier has some great models as is a complete independent at the USD1k mark (ish).

Owned by the Seiko group, it’s not an independent brand.
And I'll be that WIS - Citizen (sorry Jim) - but agree complete that Buolva isn't independent hasn't been for 50+ years (and before that they were a big major co).

I know this is an old thread but the Anordain Model 1 Fume is now ~$4k. Beautiful dial tho.
