I have a very nice dress watch, given to me 15 years ago by my last employer for 25 years service. The watch a 18k Longines quartz is rarely used as I have very few occasions to wear it.

However I am fascinated by these elegant watches, so stylish and refined, makes a change to view these rather than Chrono's and divers.

One of my favourite dress watches - Omega 18K gold automatic chronometer, calibre 1120 movement, Model 4600.31.00.

Looks like the bottom right lug is a bit crocked?

Some affordable dress watches I got a few years back. I feel their prices are a little too high now. You used to be able to get the base movement Nomos for less than $1000 used in mint condition not so long ago. Their shell cordovan straps are so good.

Yes, indeed... or go a little more complicated

oh yes!!! breguet numerals on patek complications are a match made in heaven. my biggest wish is to have something in the shape and size of a 3940, with breguet numerals.

I love that you said that. The nuances between "silver" colored precious metals is divine isn't it?
Like how nickel plate is so much finer on a classic auto than chrome or polished stainless, the variances in warmth are subtle but vital to the overall aesthetic.

Dress watch to me means a classic hobnail Patek. This also works:
Very nice. I’m more of a fan of vintage Vacherons myself.

I will maybe step on some toes now but I love my jumbo 50s Seamaster in solid gold as a dress watch.

It got alot of the elements I’m looking for when choosing a dress watch:
no complications (if not counting second-hand), clean dial and indexes, light coloured dial, percious metal, size around 34-36mm, flat and sits good on the wrist.

If I’m picky it should maybe have been a better dress watch if there was no lume on the hands and dial and a manual movement!
I'm jealous....
