Unfortunately she is also very good at convincing people to buy her nutcase medical cures too...she and Goop are actually dangerous...
Andromeda Strain was absolutely the first one that came to mind.
Not made into a movie yet, but THE STAND is a good one.
Edit: I just Googled this, and apparently a new mini-series is in the works, but put on hold because of COVID.
