I’ve narrowed it down to these three Bergeon options:
  • 6767-F (fine tip dual-ended tool)
  • 6825-PF (plier style with fine forks)
  • 7825 (tweezer style)

Main priorities are:
  1. Easiest and fastest to use
  2. Lowest risk of scratching the lugs

I already own a modern Rolex Submariner (126610), so I’m also curious which of these works best on that as a secondary consideration.

The 6826-PF seems the easiest (in theory) since you can lock it for 20mm, but I have no idea.

I've used a 6767-F for years, works well for me. Simple is best, and simple usually means less to go wrong. Tape the lugs, have good light, and have confidence.

I've owned all three. For a Rolex or Omega my choice would be the 7825. The 6767-F is my choice for straps or end links that have some wiggle. Everyone should own a 6767-F (especially given the low price). But for something with a tight end link you really need a tweezers/pliers style that can compress both ends at the same time.

I found the 6825-PF to be cumbersome and not worth the additional money. So I sold it. The 7825 is easy to use and effective.

“Wiggle” do omega speedmaster 3861 straps ever have wiggle? Is that strap dependent?

Some bracelet end links have some wiggle. Usually the less expensive ones with greater machining tolerances. Modern Omegas tend not to. Rolex has the least wiggle from my experience.
