Benrus Sky Chief, with box and guarantee paperwork. Price reduced to $2000 USD, shipped to US and Canada.

Sharp stainless steel case measuring 35mm. Original pushers and crown.

A nice dial which has aged to a lovely color that ranges from mahogany to chocolate brown subject to the light. Lume is all intact and original to the watch. Clean syringe style hands with all original lume.

Crystal has a scratch visible around the 4 o’clock index. A bit of polywatch polish on this crystal may be in order, but I leave that choice to the new owner.

Inner and outer box, and guarantee certificate. The certificate has a partial tear along the fold at the lower portion.

Manual wind Venus 178 movement last serviced in 2018 while in my possession. Continues to run well, with all functions working correctly. I have worn the watch in rotation without any issues.

Fitted with a lightly worn modern dark brown Lizard strap.

A loose buckle is included, which was installed on a deteriorated black leather strap at the time I purchased the watch. That black leather strap was thrown out. I believe this buckle may have been original to the watch.
A second unused black leather strap is included. This strap is stylistically similar to the discarded strap that came with the watch when I bought it.

Price reduced to $2000 from $2250, exclusive of any transactional costs, delivered to the USA. Paypal F&F works well for me, and other methods can be discussed and mutually agreed to. Overseas shipment is also possible following a discussion and joint agreement. I accept returns only if the watch is mis-represented.

I have several references from prior trades made here at Omega Forums. My thanks to the moderators!

Bump - with a bit of history:
I bought this watch and boxes on eBay from an estate sale listing, which included other non-watch items. It was intermixed with other “stuff”, shall I say. The stem was bent and was identified as “in need of service” as I recall. However the various listing photos showed movement of the hands, so the balance wheel appeared to be working. I reckoned that the stem got bent relatively early in ownership, and with the watch not running was then likely stashed in a drawer for years.

When I received it, it’s first stop was my watchmaker, who got it back in running shape with a full service and a new stem and re-fitting the original crown. otherwise it was in the same condition you see here when I received it.

This is a legendary watch, top 5 most collectible Benrususus (Benri?) they rarely come up in this condition as they weren’t waterproof cases- so the dials always suffered. If you are into collecting early pilot chrono’s- this is a must have.
