Been offered 2 watches but I’m unsure if they are worth it

Hi everybody. I’m very new to vintage omegas and said to a Jewellery dealer near me that I wouldn’t mind getting into them.

They had 2 watches in store from an elderly couple as a trade in, and I’m tempted by both, but I’m not sure what I should be looking for.

I’m going there today to remove the back of the cases to have a look at the movement and check to see if they are gold (been told they are), but I don’t really know what I should be offering in terms of price as I haven’t seen that many similar models, especially like the seamaster which I’m wondering if that should be a red flag or maybe it’s a good a thing.

I fully understand the photos are not the best but that’s all I can offer now to see if today’s trip is worth it or not.

Do they look like they are worth buying? And what kind of price should I be realistically looking at?

Thank you all in advance

Do you actually want them? They aren’t in the best condition.
If you do, I’d ask the jeweller what they want for them. That’s their business to set a price. If they are gold I assume they paid just below gold price and they’re going to ask 10-50% above gold price. I wouldn’t be paying that for them.

They are asking £550 for the geneve and £700 for the seamaster which seems high looking at the condition.

I can’t find too much information on the case weights to work out if this is a fair price if they are solid gold though.

I do like them with the dial patina, and I’m hoping if I can get the scratches worked out on the glass they will look quite nice

They are overpriced, given their condition, and the (scrap) gold values are dependent on the type of gold (e.g. 14kt, 18kt).
