Speedmaster 808 end links...is this really the price they are worth?

I was hugely surprised to see a pair of Speedmaster 808 end links go for £435 on ebay yesterday, this seems really high for something that could a few years ago be bought for a fraction of that price.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm//124179606816?

I have a couple of pairs, one pair of which I use with a 1171 bracelet, just never realised they were so expensive now, but I guess it just depends whose after them.

I should have loaded up on these when I could still get them from Omega...last time I bought them they were $16 each...

The 1450/808 seems to have been selling for 1400-1600 USD for at least a few year now (check out the sales section on OF)

£435 does seem quite high for just the end links though

Glad to see that the listing included the terminology of "Rare"

I guess the person who bought the 1450 bracelet without the end links would be pretty desperate to buy the 808 end links 😁

If you think this is expensive just forget about ever sourcing some 6/506’s...

I still think of the 1450/808 as modern but those vintage 6/506's parts are always expected to be expensive 😁

I was born at the same period as the 1450/808 - happy to know you don't think of me as vintage, yet 😎

Does Omega still have the 1450 bracelet available for purchase?

I have a 1450/808 that I took off my speedy just due to the outrageous amount that they're going for.
