My parents omega watches but I think they are fake

Hi, I got these about 30 years ago and never really looked at them. Wound them up today and they are ticking away merrily. No paperwork or box, fairly sure they must be fake but going in circles. Don’t want to embarrass myself taking them into a jewlers

You are quite right, unfortuantely they are well known fakes (counterfeits) from about the 1960s/1970s.

Just put them back in the drawer for another 30 years or so.

Yea these are quite commonly found counterfeits, I appreciate your attitude towards it as we often have to tell people that their parents or grandparents watches are not authentic and some of them get very upset over being told the truth.

Times were hard for my family as it was for many in the 70s uk so in my mind they would have sold these if that was the case, but always worth an ask and I didn’t embarrass myself at the jewellery store so that’s a win for me. I appreciate the responses
