Looks like awesome climbing/riding territory.. Colorado?
Yeah, Front Range. It is also a mecca for (rock) climbing, which I do a bit of too! But riding will always have my heart. And climbing on a bike is what I live for!

Me, too… unfortunately, I became a flatlander about two years ago 😟
Hopefully my next move will be to the mountains!

I'm told bicycles go here.

Royal Dutch Gazelle. 50.5 pounds, 26" frame, 28" wheels, rod operated drum brakes... I had to have it.

Lol it was just a suggestion 😉
But I know everyone in here would appreciate it.

If I'm going to restart my "bicycle problem", I want to do it in the right place!

Kind of like showing up at an AA meeting with a six pack.

At least we're having a really mild week so I can get some miles in before the powers that be remember that this is Canada and I get a load of snow on my lawn.

Got out a couple of days ago before the cold snap. In my spare time while waiting for better weather I'll just keep spending time and money upgrading lol.

Any fatbike riders here? I moved a year ago, and where I live now, it is not as road bike friendly, so I picked up fat bike riding.

Safety third lol.

It just works on so many levels. 😁 Can't ID the watches he's wearing in these.

Fat bikes are extremely popular up where I am and before the pandemic hit, there were many winter fat bike races running. I never got into them myself which I think is a good thing; can't afford another bike!

A trip down memory lane 😀

A vineyard and a bike, not a bad combination 👍

-22C this morning, so Frau Fritz'a car battery cried enough and refused to so much as run the clock, forget turning over a 3.5 litre 6.

so, after driving her to work we packed this little piece of @*@&#! in the trunk, jump started the big lump and took it up to the dealer, leaving it for an overdue service and a fresh battery.

Driving this home in the cold was not pleasant, but it got the job done thereby warranting the $30 investment I have in it yet again.

Funny thing, the 3 speed hub was actually frozen in second. go figure.

So I went for a ride today on the Black Creek Trail, here in South Florida.

Beautiful weather, nice scenery and a surprise by the side of the trail...

I felt 35 bikes might be considered being a bit too few so I put together the 36: th.

Started with a 2003 De Rosa that I had bought cheap to get some parts from. This frame is totally out of my comfort zone (I believe racing bicycles were at their best about 1971 or so...). This is both aluminium and carbon and I built it up with a Campagnolo Record 10v group set that I had on the shelf. Carbon, alu and titanium. Butt ugly most of it. But(t) light...

Also tore down the the ergopower handles and gave them some service (cleaning, grease and oil).

Used a Seiko SPB151 some of the time:

Put together again

Then a Seiko SLA033 took a turn. And a cigarr.

Finished it with a GMT Master II

7,9 kg

It is not allowed any nearer the real bikes than this. It could contaminate.
