·Felt it a bit, but more cumulatively. I've ridden out by you before, Thousand Oaks/Agoura Hills/Malibu area. Descending into PCH was a blast!!

·Was out grindin' some gravel yesterday and took a nasty spill. We had extremely strong winds coming off the Front Range, 65mph gusts and red flag warnings for wind driven fire danger from the low humidity (~11%). Anyhow, I got picked up off my bike in a crosswind and tossed to the ground like a rag doll. Also forgot my hex key and had my axle come loose. Good day other than that.

·Good eye. Definitely got some climbing in, just short of 3500 ft. Unfortunately for Rocky, he fell shortly after this picture was taken as there’s a section of sand/gravel that made it difficult for him to clip in. The road to the top of the sign is actually above and behind it. Sign has been fenced in for years. Not able to go right up to it anymore.
With 36/30 (?) on a level road I'd expect the front wheel to be in the air. I use 2 sided SPD pedals on all my non-veteran bikes. Just smash the foot down and I'm in.
Anything over 10% gradient is "get off and walk" for me. Err, was 10-15 years ago, could possibly be less now 🙁 🙁 My recumbent is worse, minimum control speed is about 12 kph. But I get it back on the way down!
