Did anyone see the wicked crash yesterday at TDP yesterday involving Fabio Jakobsen and Dylan Groenewegen at the sprint?

Not much news this AM but he had surgery last night and is still in a pretty serious condition. He was placed in a medically induced coma and they should be waking him up at some point today. But they are saying that there does not appear to be any brain, or spine injury.
Still though...racing is racing and you get caught up in the heat of the moment, but that shit looked dirty.
This whole "closing the door" thing is getting a little crazy
Reminiscent of Sagan vs. Cavendish in France 2017...

While I get what you're saying about the "closing the door", the rider did choose that line, with the knowledge that it's a risky move (that's why he took it). He also could've backed off when he realized that DG was trying to close him out with the barriers. He didn't believe that DG would take it all the way, and DG probably didn't think Jakobsen would be dumb enough to keep pushing. You can see the moment of realization in the video when it's slowed down. Should've happened a second or two earlier.

Cav did the same thing. Tactics are tactics, and sometimes they don't work out.

Yup. No real arguments here. They should have both known the outcome because I bet both of them would have done the same things if the roles were reversed.
But I still think it is an overly-aggressive defense. And it is not limited to cycling.

Such a nice bike

Thanks!! The SL7 Tarmac is supposed to be even lighter and significantly more aero. But I absolutely love this bike, perfect in every way for me.

I’ve completely fallen in love with the SL7. As I’m new to riding, I don’t think that bike makes any sense for me. Extremely gorgeous though. Put in a little over 100km this morning.

Disagree as I've seen the car you drive.😉 Buy the SL7, keep the CAAD for a training/winter bike. This sport is as much about looks as it is performance. 😁

Case in point, here's the new bike I built up from that frame I was talking about. It's an Allez Sprint Sagan edition. Still dialing in the fit, may add the hologram decals to the wheels. ::psy::

Beautifully done!

You’re not helping! Offloaded my H10 Speedy as it just never spoke to me and now I feel the proceeds burning a hole in my pocket.

Lol, I'd argue that cyclists are bigger enablers than watch enthusiasts. 😁

Does anyone here have an Ebike? Not for exercise just for fun or transportation

I think Simon Cowell does...

First post on here. What better way to start off posting on a watch forum than with a picture of a bike? It does match the watch I wear when I ride it: a Doxa 300T Divingstar on a Marine Nationale strap.
