My first post here as I picked up a new road bike about a month ago when I realized I am probably not returning to my gym any time soon.

After about 165 miles in the saddle I am shocked how much I am enjoying it. Now I’m looking into training more seriously, meaning not just getting on and riding a couple times a week with one “long ride” on the weekends.

Not such a great day to ride a bike in the Dauphine on account of.....hail!!!

Fires throughout the area made for really bad air getting up to the Hollywood sign.

 

Short ride in Virginia today. It’s been quite a while since I’ve been out on my bike, and I’m hoping to get back to it more regularly as temps continue cooling off over the next few months.

 

Took out the other bike. It’s so nice to have singletrack trails within city limits. This bike is built up almost exactly as the other Crust bike (a few post back) with the exception of different tires, handlebars, and crank size. Eventually, I'll build a new front wheel with a dynamo.

 

Like the other, this one is a beaut!

I’m a sucker for a white bike.

For those of you using a Garmin computer, have you experienced any issues with the auto pause feature not working at times? Just got one and this morning it stopped at every light I had to stop at but didn’t at the top of a climb while we waited for the entire group to finish. Somewhat frustrated seeing the data be so far off, maybe I’m focusing too much on times.

I still use my old school Garmin Forerunner 305 and the auto pause seems to be working fine for me. Maybe do a hard reset and see what happens.
