The only fun part for me was stuffing my face with a juicy burger and a nice cold nutritious soda afterwards
It was almost 20 degrees celsuis in my neck of the woods today so it was perfect! The spring thaw is coming to the great north!

    Guys, guys, guess what?
I took my bike OFF THE WALL this weekend to pump up the totally deflated tires.
I was ACTUALLY going to go out for a ride, and then never got to it....but maybe next weekend!
It will be the first time the TCR gets any action since last July! Crazy.
They hybrid gets all the action currently since it has the kid seat.
I was hoping the wife and I would be able to drop the 2 year old off at the grandparents house so we start up riding together again.
But guess what? SHE'S FREAKIN' PREGNANT AGAIN!
So I just bought her this...

Anyone looking to buy her small frame 2016 TCR Advanced since she'll never ride it again? lol

Haha thanks! And I guess we'll see...
She has been talking about wanting to get one for a while, and she just canceled her spin gym membership so I figured I'd surprise her with this thing.
She took me to a couple of spin classes over the years and I am honestly not a fan lol.

I fully intend to get my kids riding ASAP.
We bought the 2 year old a balance bike.
For those of you who don't know the idea is to be able to skip training wheels, but we'll see.

Unfortunately though, she has approximately zero interest in it right now lol.
She loves sitting on the back of my bike but does not seem interested in trying to propel herself.

I gave my 2 y.o. granddaughter (Jan 2018) one a week ago. Here is she is using it for the 1st time. You almost have to jog to keep up with her now.

Maybe we'll take it out this weekend.
I don't want to "force" her though...

We started out with the seat low so she can stand straddling the bike. Took the foot pegs off so they weren't in the way of her walking. And just let her start walking with the bike giving her lots of encouragement to make sure she was having fun. Now she's sitting on the seat and pushing hard almost like she's running. Going two to three feet with each step. I guessing that I will but the foot pegs on maybe by the end of the month, maybe next month.

Balance bikes are fantastic. Let a kid play on one for a few months and they'll then learn to ride a bike in an afternoon. No horrible "training" wheels required.

With the lockdown here I'm getting out with the kids everyday and the weather's been beautiful. We hit 25km yesterday which is a record for the youngest.

Yeah! Nice day to pull the MTB out for the first time since last year, YEAH!

Anyone have experience of Avid DB3 brakes? Front OK, back dragging enough to make riding on the level hard work. I took the caliper off and "encouraged" the pistons back into their cylinders after finding I could bring them out and back when the disc was removed, but they wont go far enough back. Judging by the complicated Avid bleed kits available it ain't simple :(

Happy days, the police motorcycle rider saw all the kids waving and stopped to say hello to them. Waiting for the Tour de France to pass, Cambridge to London stage, 2014.

@Mad Dog What frame is that? Looks like Cannondale with that cantilevered drop out.
But then again its a normal track drop out....
