Chuck Lennon Park in DeLeon Springs, Florida

An absolutely divine little piece of heaven that is virtually unknown in the area. The trails literally surround the recreational ball fields at Chuck Lennon but you would never see them.

Wild tangerines, oranges, grapefruit all through there. All delicious. It is common for us to stop on the trail for a snack before moving on......really special place. Lots of wildlife.

And as you can see....giant Cathedral Oaks. The one pictured is about 30ft in circumference(its also the one on the left in the larger pic). Canopy is about 150ft across.

Ah ok.
That's about a 3/3.5 hr drive from me over here on the west coast of FL.
Looks like an awesome track though!

Not such a beautiful day to ride a bike.....

..... the first time I had worn these shoes apart from in the shop

And despite the modern shoes the bike was nearly 50 years old, "enjoying" a Veteran-cycle Club ride in June 2012

The trail that goes over the bridge in the background is The Lodes Way, part of National Cycle Route 51.

And earlier in the week I'd been experimenting with a polarising filter on a camera and happened to catch something dropping into this little pool. So many rings!

North Road bars! Yes very nice, only had one bike so fitted but liked them. And the new-fangled "spokeless" wheels. Why did they never catch on?

What is this "tidying" of which you speak?

In our case the loft tends to be where assorted articles go to spend the rest of there days and eventually there is no space left so we tend to get a bit brutal and decide what do we really need/want to keep ?
Articles usually end up at the local charity shops with advice as to worth.

The British ITV4 channel shows every stage in full, except for ad breaks, I don't know whether it's available on-line. You could also look for French channels that are also on-line, IIRC it's Canal 2 on French TV.

There is also text & photo coverage at live.cyclingnews.com

Pretty much every day is a good cycling day when you live in a flat country... Assuming it doesn’t rain too badly.

Cheeky revision procrastination session in the forest this evening to check some bolts . The Patriot really does weigh more than a filing cabinet.
