I'm currently waiting rescue by Mrs Wiv thanks to a dead keyless entry key (literally no clue), already missing the peace and quiet of the forest.
Yeah, he was a highlight, hung around me for about 10 min. Learning from today is, if you have keyless entry, always have some spare batteries in the car. I could get in it, but nothing else. Mwaaaaah.
There is usually an emergency start procedure for keyless starting. A buddy's Land Rover wouldn't work one day (battery dead). He placed the fob on the dashboard at a specific location and the car started. I suggest looking in your manual. You may have a similar process.
Yeah, I did all that, think the cold was messing with something as all it would do was unlock the driver door and play the alarm. Meh.
This is on on the route affectionately known as "Superflag", probably my favorite ride I've found since moving to Boulder. It's 2500 feet of vertical over about 7 miles. I believe the fourth mile averages 10.8% gradient, and 12.8% for about three quarters of a mile ("The Wall of Pain"). Such a killer ride and such an incredible day. Almost no wind.
Went for a windy first ride on my new road bike. Went okay but it sure highlighted how out-of-shape I am!
