This afternoon I went cruising around my neighborhood with my two youngest grandkids. We stopped at a local pub/restaurant for lunch. I was riding my old school neighborhood cruiser a Raleigh 3 speed. Altogether we rode a little over 15 miles. Not much but the two little ones were tired out. On our way back from lunch I spotted a rummage sale at a small church. We stopped in the kids found a few items. I picked up a new brooks saddle, Check out the price $4.99 on the bottom of the saddle.

Took the advice of many here and got the Wahoo Elemnt Bold this week. I’m new to road biking and out of shape, but the data this thing collects is cool even for short 1 hour rides.

How tall are you, or rather, how small is that frame? hah.
That is an awesome bike though!

I haven't been out in weeks 🙁

Since my wife gave birth a few weeks ago, that has taken my full attention but has also taken my riding partner.
Maybe I'll get out this coming weekend...I know she's itching to get back to it ASAP. But it will still be a while for her.

But the bright side is one day, we will have a team of 3!

I´m 6´5” and the size of the bike is a 22” by Klein charts, more of a real 20”. The long Syncros 425 mm seatpost helps a lot. I am a sucker for these vintage MTB. Stiff as hell to ride and quite uncomfortable for today standards but I simply love them.

Here´s another one I own, a 1991 Klein Adroit with full Campagnolo, although this one does not get ridden.

Congratulations on your baby! I wish my better half would ride with me but she simply hates bicycles. You are lucky.

Hopefully you all three will be on the road soon.

Nice pictures btw!

Cheers!

I was really missing it this weekend.
It was the St. Anthony's Triathlon this weekend so I went down there and watched a bit, which is what really made me miss it hah.
But I'll be back next year. That is the goal for the wife and I at least.
Can't wait for the baby to get on a bike! Hah.

We lucked out here in Ohio a few days ago...80*F in February. Time to hit the road with some of our masters race team members...good times! 👍

NOTE: Mad Dog is on the far right on his trusty 2011 Schwinn Paramount Series 9 carbon with factory Dura-Ace.

Why is Mad Dog not giving his signature “watch pose” !
Nice bike..

Today was UCI Race in Frankfurt "Henninger Turm". Havn't ride today, but this area you maybe saw today is my homeground. Here from Mamnolshainer Berg to Königstein:

Love those XT thumbies!!

Yeah!

And they are still very reliable, even in muddy conditions and 25 years later.😉
