Excited to see some more "in the flesh" photos. Saw the ones on WUS as well, the black looks great!

How about a video? 😀 I just found it...

Love the bezel comparison at the end. I'm really glad Omega made improvements there.

Apologies for the crappy pic. Plastic on the watch plus the store lighting made it hard to get a picture without glare. The Omega Boutique at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA got their shipment in this past Friday. Went in to get some spring bars and got to check them out. They look 100x better in person!

*Edit* My wrist is 6 1/3in for those who are wondering about size. It fits my wrist pretty good! The close up picture makes it look larger on my wrist then what it looked like in person.

Another good video that would be even better if I spoke Spanish:

Looks like that bracelet has very little droop. Gonna have to go see in person tomorrow.

Not sure how I feel about the waves, I don’t feel like it blends in as well as the old waves. Maybe it’s one of those things where it will grow on me.

And I love the clean look of the older SMPC.

What is the deal with ceramic inserts? What was wrong with the old metal inserts?

Zirconium Dioxide ceramics are much better materials for both bezels and dials in several ways and much more durable.

8x harder than stainless steel (no scratches), pretty immune to corrosion, pretty immune to ultraviolet color fade out. Way better than metals.

Only thing I dislike about my Submariner is that it doesn't have a ceramic dial yet. Omega is ahead with those.

Imagine how much better it will look with an applied Omega logo on the dial....

I've grown to like it especially that grey silver dial. Yes thumbprint dial and all... But it's the lack of the applied Omega logo that is a dealbreaker for me.

Yes, this is something I cannot really understand either. Probably they were thinking that the waves are already creating a 3D effect, so why bother with an applied logo... however it would be nice... especially seeing the price point of the watch. Anyway... I still intend to buy one... hopefully it'll arrive to my country as well someday. 😁

I'm with you on the missing applied Omega logo, feels like a miss for this release. I'm not sure it's a deal breaker but if there was a hint that in the next couple years they'd correct that it would definitely cause me to pause and maybe wait.

I like the choice of painted logo on the dial; the dial plots are very pronounced on this watch, and to raise a logo they would either have to leave it small like it is now, or enlarge it, either way would throw off the symmetry quite a bit, my opinion only of course. For my first Seamaster, I could not be happier.

I just got my blue dial this morning, and love it - this is going to get insane amounts of wrist time, because I can wear it doing absolutely everything.

Stunning, can’t wait to see one in the flesh and try it on. Visiting London tomorrow so hopefully an OB or AD will have one. Failing that, Schiphol next week.

I checked with my local boutique over the weekend and they checked warehouse inventory and it looked like there were only 4 in the US at the time - 2 to Chicago and 2 to California - they suspected they were for deposits. Expected more to start showing up in the next couple weeks.

I tried on the black dial and the blue dial, both on steel bracelets, in the Regent Street, London OB today. Both are absolutely stunning. The engineering quality level of this watch is superb. The wave dial is orders of magnitude more restrained than is shown in any photographs I have seen, even under the OB’s bright lights, and really complements the other design elements of the watch. Anyone worried that the waves are too ostentatious or detract from the watch shouldn’t be. Only problem is that the OB is not prepared to shift off the list price, understandably. Schiphol airport OB, here I come!
