I'm placing my money on the Instagram laser videos being the new wave dials being cut by lasers... "they are back" meaning the waves in the seamaster.

A 60min Bezel as per some made for NASA, if possible with a black radial dial like the Alaska III...
(picture from another post from @SpeedyPhill )

Probably next year 😉
But in 2019 there will be 50 years Flightmaster, 50 years Apollo 11, 50 years Alaska Project etc...

The wave pattern from what I have heard does look as if it might have been executed with a laser. Apparently it looks quite cool and modern...with just one crest (looks smoother and more "sea like" ) with date at 6 o'clock. Iconic parts of the design maintained: skeleton hands and He valve. Also excited about some of the strap options...blue rubber strap which sort of looks like an oysterflex..

Looks like main focus of Rolex is going to be a new GMT...if this is correct it will leave space for Omega on the Basel "diver" stage.

The SM 1948 might to be along theses lines ! Any thoughts ?
I prefer the case they adopted for the Edizione Venezia last year and this year's Olympic Seamaster reference. I would find it strange if they opt for another case just for the LE...but as well all know Omega love to do multiple SKU variants😀

Ugh I hated the skeleton hands, one of the reasons my first watch (sadly lost at sea) was the 2254.50. Wave dial plus awesome sword hands for the win.

Shouldn't we be expecting Apollo 11 50th anniversary instead of Apollo 8?

That will be next year for sure. Its at some stage of being planned and I'm excited about it!

My bad. Thought this year was the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11.

Maybe 2019 is the year Omega will bring us a flightmaster? I've been waiting and wishing for it for many years now. However I'm afraid they'll not use a manual movement but some version of the 9300...

50 years since the Apollo 11 should mean some great LE's.

Is this a limited edition? Can’t see it being mentioned anywhere.
Yeah I can't find it too. Also the case has moved up to 44.25mm and lug width to 21mm. Price in my country is Rp137.500.000,00, higher than any previous LE's.

Not a massive fan of black cases on watches but that really is quite nice. The video in the link makes it look much more appealing than the rendering above.

Those are beautiful! I have been saving for a seamaster and was waiting to see the new releases. Having seen the new dials, I still think I would want a 2531 or 2220, even though a ceramic seamaster does not cost too much more. Does that make me a weirdo?
