holy s___t! a barn find in that condition? congrats man. im more interested how much you paid for it. enjoy your new treasure.
Wow..An enviable superbe example of a CB.. Are you going to get an extract for it? My CB turned out to be delivered to NAAFI..which I like!
Absolutely stunning! If you are indeed from Belgium as they say here, I'm right around the corner. Care to sell? Just kidding, I'm through my watch budget for some time....
I was chasing such a cb for quite some time. Chronoholic has had a few nice examples but it was when prices started to skyrocket so I passed. Super nice example. Cannot tell if the lugs or the dial is the most captivating
Curious why you are otlrdering an extract. Your watch is such a nice example i can't imagine the extract adding any more value than a curiosity. It will tell you where it was delivered but that's about it. Unless your serial number is way out of range, you should already be able to confirm the movement by available information. I am not opposed to extracts per se. I almost got one for mine but hesitated and decided against it. It doesn't guarantee that your watch has original parts or is how it came from the factory. It seems to only say that a watch with this serial number was a certain model and sold to this place. Is this just a fad that buyers have come to expect? 120 francs to know that my watch was sold to country X? I would genuinely like to be convinced that it's worth purchasing.
Never heard this bizarre comment before; the extract does not verify the authenticity or add value and it does more than tell you the country it was delivered to
Yes, there are more items on the extract and it is official. But it seems that unless you have an unusual dial, we can get the model number and production date from websites like https://www.ilovemyspeedmaster.com/productiondateprediction/ Together with the moonwatch only and forums, we know what a model such as 145.012 should look like or have. So without an extract i can put in my serial number in this lookup, find the model number and approximate production date. Unless your watch is an ultraman the extract is only going to say black dial, which you also already know. What you don't know is the place of origin, which the extract provides. Since the extract doesn't provide authenticity and the other information is now publicly available, is it worth buying for the place of origin? Some people seem to value it when they buy a watch because a watch with an extract is mentioned in the attributes. So it would seem to be valuable to some buyers. But if it doesn't authenticate then it seems like just a curiosity and a watch without an extract should be the same value as one with an extract. Nice to have but worth 120 chf?
