Embrace the small, give into the small, small is large....ohmmmmm

seriously- just wear watches under 36mm for a solid week, no big watches. Put the Speedy back on and it feels like a dinner plate. You just have to adjust.

I've got a couple of 36mm watches - two Heuer Carreras (one black, one silver) and an Eterna Kontiki diver. They don't have bezels though, so the dial looks large enough. With a bezel, these 36mm skindivers wear that much smaller :/

see above my Cronel is 40.5mm with 19mm lugs. Just back from movement restoration.

Oh that's coool. As they say, PM sent 😀

It’s true. My daily is a 44mm Pam! I have a Seamaster300 and Speedmaster. Funnily enough I could never get on with a Rolex Datejust, but 36-38mm Skindivers work.

It’s seasonal for me- smaller ones in the colder months and bigger in the warmer (sleeves up or down). My 35-36mm divers look dinky on my bare arms but with sleeves or sweaters....

They look a lot better on you than they would me. Here’s my (non-bargain!) Eterna, 36.5mm:

It’s really not a matter of perception; they really are too small for me unfortunately. But certain models fall under “labor of love” categorization and so I’ll wear them anyway 😀

This was a bargain when I bought it...

👍

This was a bargain when I bought it too. I never expected them to go up the way they did. I nearly sold it a couple years ago and then something held me back - I thought it was too special to resell and it got a new life with a new strap.
Dealers found a great new moniker for those, aka « baby Apocalypse ».

I will happily trade you that teeny Eterna for a nice 44mm Invicta. 😎
Oh- dibs if it hasn’t been called.

and out of curiosity- how large is your wrist? That lug2lug looks teeny on your arm! Like a 28x32 on me!

Tbh I don’t remember what I paid but I know I didn’t get the silent treatment at home so I’m pretty sure it was a bargain. You guys showed some very nice pieces

That bracelet is really funky, looks like you're wearing slices of avocado!

how large is your wrist?

Never measured it fully, but about 7.5-8 inches. Best way I can describe it is, a metal bracelet has to be at least 180mm long in order to fit me, so I have to be extra careful with vintage watch purchases!

You’re a full 13 on an oyster- always count the links 😉

Lotta chirping about the crickets but not much about the Vulcain diver line.

One more oldie but goodie - probably my favorite bargain diver to date. Top condition steel case, scratch free bezel, drilled lugs, lollipop seconds hand, dateless, grey dial, super legible, in tact lume plots, vintage tropic strap. What’s not to love?

2155 Swiss 237 movement?

Can't beat a Russian diver for cheapness (ok, the bronze one wasn't that cheap, but still relatively inexpensive)
Nice collection, never seen a bronze before. I’ve got a couple of Vostoks that find their way onto my wrist quite often.
