Yea we have that and Amazon but they pay drastically less than ads do as they’ve limited the terms of what they pay on quite considerably over the years
Now I understand why you tolerate the dumpster diving thread- it’s all becoming clear!

I loath that pledge drive. I decided if I ever win the lottery I’m going to fully fund NPR to get rid of it. But yes, something needs to be done here.
I hate them too, but they are necessary. Lets get those subscriptions UP!!!!!!

@dsio …..seems to me its time to take a page out of National Public Radio / PBS and have a PLEDGE DRIVE. How many of us are enjoying this site? And you have to sell watches? Not acceptable.
Yea we don’t want to annoy people any more than ads already do, I think there’s a banner or a line in blue somewhere linking to how people can subscribe and we’re very grateful for everyone that does but we still want people to be able to get help and participate if they don’t as there are heaps of people feeling cost of living pressures or already paying too much for their online experience between the various streaming services and things of that nature.

I suppose you could add a donate banner with a few bullets on the resources needed to support this amazing site. Hell, I give annually Public Radio and they still manage to successfully tug on my wallet for special drives. Same with Chicago Symphony, Botanic Garden and Art Institute.

I’ve got it! An Omega Forums limited edition Speedmaster collaboration with Omega! Profits go to OF. It needs to have that not-a-Nigerian bird logo on the dial IMO.

Damnit, I'm in! At least, I am until I find out how much a custom dialed speedy costs.

Yea I don’t think that would happen and RJ definitely didn’t keep any profits from ST1 & ST2 😀

Thanks again to the guys who subscribed after seeing this it really makes a big difference.

Well due to discovering the financial difficulties of the site, I was going to upgrade my membership, but someone beat me to it!
I dunno who, but a huge thank you to whoever it is.
So now I’ll pass my good fortune on to someone else and shout them an upgrade.
Dunno who yet, just have to wait n’ see, I s’pose

Unfortunate the quality isn’t as good as it could be right now as the various world economies teetering on the verge of recession has led to major companies drastically cutting back on their ad spend. As a result it’s lower end stuff and we get paid drastically less, at the moment we’re getting absolutely killed and I’m about to sell my submariner to keep the site running.

Our subscribers at the moment are super valuable to us as a result so thanks to everyone that does.
Wtf even with the subscriptions you need to sell your watch. You sir deserve a medal.
