My guess is a dirty dozen tribute… which puts a 3rd one on the market.

They moved from Chinese to Japanese to Swiss already. Gut, I guess that they are moving up market with the hints about finishing etc.. They have a large and enthusiastic fan base for a microbrand. Its a move i’d make. Better movements. higher. price point.

I see. I hand't realized that they had any Swiss movements in their watches, but I now see the GMT has a Swiss movement. Makes sense, but I like how they have been able to have very competitive pricing.

The phrasing "Designed in an elegant and discreet style" that they use on their website indicates dressy rather than military in my opinion.

I bought the GMT as a birthday/career progression gift for my kid. It’s a lot of watch for the money.

I can’t picture them doing that.

You beat me to it but, what an anti climax 🙁

Although it gives the thickness of the new ‘ultra thin’ watch, and at 9.9mm I’m not impressed, I haven’t found the diameter measurement.

Sadly, I’m not keen on funky colours, funky sub-dials, or numerals so a thumbs down from me.

I’ve always liked the three hands style and was hoping for a 36mm variant

Might not be for everyone, but I absolutely love it! Was very close to pulling the trigger on the salmon dial, blinked and it sold out.

What are the style inspirations it is pulling from? The Breguet (IIRC) numerals say early 1950's. Scientific dial is like late 40's? and the offcenter subdial is 50's.

But microrotor is from 1955 according to horobox and 1957 according to watchwiki...

What are other's take?

The offcenter subdial throws it all off for me. Wonder why they chose that or if something about the movement design necessitated it.

Indeed, some bold design choices. Some will love it, some won't. Like @Spruce I was hoping for a 36mm version of their 3-hander.

I was hoping for a watch with vintage style and modern robustness. To me, this is modern watch in a vintage size and a few touches of vintage inspiration. Overall, it doesn't work for me, but that is okay. Variety makes life interesting. Like @BenBagbag subseconds at 7:30 are not for me, nor are 20mm lugs on a 36mm case. I am also skeptical of the Chinese movement, but by all accounts Baltic stands behind their products.

Quite surprising !

I personally love every elements of design separately, but find the association quite odd. Why the decentralised sub-second with something already visually charged like those big Breguet numerals?

I’m ok with the 20 on a 36.

it should visually shrink the watch without making it look small on the wrist.

I’d want to see it in person…

I could deal with the off center sub seconds if the finishing was just a tad more refined or the lugs where a tad more elegant.

maybe the finishing is excellent and it’s just not a bad picture.

I think it’s great. Chinese movement is well finished looks like .. I’m staying on the sidelines for this one however. I’m sure it’s selling out.

Oh all sold out. We’re they all Chinese movements? I saw different prices for three different colored dials none are available

Yep. I really thought he’d go up market with this one. Disappointed a bit.

Ya same here darn I gotta contact someone as I told them these were not going to be using the Chinese movements. I think I read this thread too quickly i coulda have sworn someone said they were using Swiss movements on this one. I’m not saying anything derogatory about Chinese movements I don’t have a Baltic just need to clarify my mistake. I didn’t get to check the website until I got home around 5p and they were long gone. I think I might have got one, I like the look but the dial layout was a little odd, unique though, I like unique. Certainly not heartbroken about missing out.

I guess he wanted a micro-rotor movement / thin automatic design. I think the Chinese movement would be the only option that wouldn't push the price way to high. Based on how quickly they sold out, he didn't miss the mark for too many of his customers.

I like the look and MR movement. Being a Hangzhou movement just leaves me weary
