This little teaser came in my email today. The image is pretty useless, but what has got me excited is the text "Designed in an elegant and discreet style, this watch brings a classic dimension to the Baltic universe." The emphasis on "classic dimension" is mine. I really like their 3-hand HMS model, but hoped it was offered in a more vintage size (~35mm). What do you all think? Is my wish of a no-worries vintage styled and sized watch finally going to be fulfilled?

Saw that too. I had a preorder for a numbered dual crown they just released. Ended up cancelling my order. Just didn't feel right and I put the money toward something more useful.

I wonder if they'll be moving toward something more contemporary with this MR01.

What provoked thought most intensely for me was the name " MR01" more so than the basically black square they sent me a picture of

My compressor arrives next month. I think you might be right about 35mm. They’d be the ones to do it right.

Oh... That seems interesting, I don't follow much what they do, but their models are really pleasing.

The HMS 002 is really a good looking thing.

35mm would be just right for my wrist 😀

Any guesses as to what MR might stand for? I'm pretty sure HMS stood for Hour Minutes Seconds for their 3 hand watch. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume MR ≠ Minute Repeater.

I just wish they had given any more indication what it was. I literally watched it from my email for a good minute before realizing the thing is going to remain dark and it wasn't just my browser being slow. 🤦

Don’t worry, this tease has already allowing them to estimate production figures by having folks sign up for updates. I’m thinking 35/36 three handed with Swiss movement and interesting finishing.

What makes you think Swiss Movement? Is there something in particular that makes you think that, or is it more of a gut feeling that they may be moving in that direction?

The other drawback for me, apart from the 38 diameter is the 12mm case thickness. Given that the lugs size on nearly all my watches is 18mm, 12mm seems seriously clunky

What makes you think Swiss Movement? Is there something in particular that makes you think that, or is it more of a gut feeling that they may be moving in that direction?

They moved from Chinese to Japanese to Swiss already. Gut, I guess that they are moving up market with the hints about finishing etc.. They have a large and enthusiastic fan base for a microbrand. Its a move i’d make. Better movements. higher. price point.
