I've had this in my diary for a few days now but sort of hoping someone reports some kind of issue or something before then so I can convince myself not to buy one!

That black dial really is a beaut!
Rest assured ... I had an issue with my BiCompax recently. Time from first email to happy resolution was four weeks. They are super folks to deal with.

More to follow this weekend for sure. But so far...WOW!
Superbe, mes amis Baltic! (The watch is much better than my French, I assure you).

That's good to hear... Not so good for my bank balance though 😀

Interestingly, installing the strap was a bit more of a pain than I anticipated because the spring bars used did not allow me to use my standard Bergeon or Omega spring bar tool as there was no groove you could use to push the pin in the bar. I decided to put some tape on the back of the lug to ensure that I was not going to scratch it when pushing the pin with a flat surface.
Just use your thumb nail to push the pin down, no tape required, no risk involved 😉

And also, did anyone buy the white lume version? I see a lot of whining about the “faux patina” but I have yet to see a photo of the white lume in the wild.

This will hurt far less than a vintage SM 300 or BP 50 Fathoms....

Wore mine out last night, and again for a few hours this morning. Very impressed. As a primarily vintage guy, who protects my watches from the elements at all costs, I think what I appreciate the most is that for about $700 (!!!), I finally have an eye-catching watch I can wear to the beach and not worry about water, suntan lotion, etc. The dial is killer, love the lollipop seconds hand, and the BOR bracelet is 👍. It’s perhaps just a little taller than I had anticipated (I think about 11.5) but still totally reasonable (similar to the BB58) and wears very easily. Ton of bang for the buck. A+. This one’s gonna get a lot of wrist time this summer.

Just received mine today. Numbered 73. Amazing work for the money. The quick release jubilee is superb.

I was thinking of getting another vintage diver but damn if this doesn't hit the right spot!!!

Does anyone know if the bracelet, specifically the end links, would fit a 60's sport chrono like a Wittnauer 7004?
Been trying for ages to find an original bracelet but doesn't look like its happening, and the Baltic bracelet seems like a suitable alternative

I don't think the BoR will fit. The end links are thick and short in terms of depth to the lugs of a watch.

I tried to fit the BoR to my polerouter sub but the end links are too thick depth wise to even reach the case (if that makes sense)

The one with the black cream dial + rubber strap is still available on their website. I hope I won't regret not buying it in the end 🤦

I keep returning to this thread to gawk at the pictures. I've been saving for the Seamaster 300 master chronometer, but I'm starting to think I could get the Aquascaphe, save $3k, and be just as happy. Anyone own both and care to comment?

Keep saving. I love the Aquascaphe but it is NOT an SM 300. That said, if your purpose is an all round beater, I think the Baltic fits the bill nicely.

A good friend of mine has been thinking about the BB58 but I told him to try the baltic instead.

Yes it is not a tudor, but is the BB58 5x better than the Baltic? (if we used money as a direct multiplier)

nope it isnt.
