·Owned a 1960s speedmaster in 2020 or maybe 2021ish and wore it almost daily!
Really loved how it still looked and felt modern but didn’t love the lack of WR and other modern features

Sold it, then realized I still wanted a speedmaster so I ended up with one the early 00s ones with a moonphase.
This one was awesome but…
The lack of recessed subdials, and the outlines around the subdials bothered me a bit. I handled a few modern speedmasters too and really loved them…
So I ended up with this 3861. I love it.
The deep recessed subdials, applied logo, recessed minute track, amazing new bracelet, hacking seconds, etc all add up nicely and in my opinion make for the best speedmaster.
I’m a huge strap guy but the bracelet is so good I leave it on that. The new clasps feel great and the overall execution is well done. My only issue is that the edges are a tad sharp.
