It's allllll about Dirt Rally. Stage rally on loose surfaces > circuit racing.

Dirt was the jam. been years since I have played one of those games though.
I will still hop on Forza a couple of times a month.
I used to have a whole "sim" set up but got rid of it years ago. AKA when I moved in with my then fiance (now wife) lol.

The first Dirt was fun, but Dirt Rally is a whole different animal - it's essentially a continuation of the Colin McRae Rally games. Full sim, no arcade and no "story".

I play with a controller, as it's still just a game for me and I don't want to put the time / money / effort / space into a sim rig for a game. Maybe if my competitve impulses take over someday when I'm fabulously rich, but for now, nope 😀

Well, I use the word sim loosely. What I mean by sim is a Logitech G920 and an office chair hah.
Maybe when the kids get a bit older I can justify buying something like this...

Yeah...for the "kids" lol.

Yeah, thing is it snowballs - I don't want to sit in a regular chair with a wheel attached to a coffee table at the wrong angle. So then I need a seat.

Now that I've got a seat and everything, it's weird to just look through one TV forward - so then I need two more TVs so I can experience an actual interior, with peripheral vision (very important for car racing and rallying in particular).

But now with the three TVs running at high resolution, my Xbox is slowing down - so I need to build a gaming PC.

Boom, $10k in the hole, half my living room gone, and I'm probably wasting even more time on it because now I'm considering it a potential education in car control in addition to a game.

Instead, I've just focused on figuring out proper car setups to mitigate the lack of fine steering control on a controller, and it seems to have worked - this was the final result for one of the daily challenge stages on Tuesday 😀

A 550 in Tour de France Blue.

That's the absolute way to go with the Barchetta IMO - but on the coupe I like those dark greys.

I prefer coupes (having lived with a convertible as my only car for 4 years now) but man, I just love looking at the 550 Barchetta... 🥰

Love the rigs! Had an ‘07 FJC that I totaled on the trail. Have an 80 series now and would love to have a 60 next to it.

Man - the Z06 in Torch Red was at the top of high-school me's list! Such a great color on a game-changing car. 👍

Not a big deal outside the USofA but unusual here.

Fun ride if you aren't in a hurry.
