Awesome ! What is this model ?
Racing variant of the 1996 Porsche 911 GT1 in Marlboro livery. The barcode represents Marlboro as tobacco advertising had been banned in most countries for racing.

There are some rare street versions for homologation and then a later evo version.

I nearly pulled the trigger on this a few years back....nothing that special but much better than my normal chariot. Good move I made not to buy it, but still head / heart and all that ...…..:0(

Love Maserati, but when it comes to financial logic I’m afraid it would be a non starter even if I could afford to buy one. If money were no object however!

Just wait a few years and you can buy one for at least half of the original MSRP lol.
Those things depreciate like crazy.

It was a boring call but a good call (also @vbrad26)….. but the right choice for my pocket is not always making my heart skip a beat :0)

I found another picture fr
Ok..... my hire car let the side down but I still got pole position :0)

I found another picture from the line up I posted before..... If I had caught all these wing mirrors driving past the hire car company would have taken a hit out on me..... No sound system / CD player needed in this Porsche I think....

Maser when you want to buy the more expensive less reliable and slower car with the not as nice interior and want everyone to know it. On the other hand they sound Devine!

I read that Maserati exhaust notes can sound like Poseidon gargling chainsaws... I recall the Quattroporte had some kind of exhaust baffle control which let you muffle it a bit... but that was way out of the league.....and with brain not V8 in gear what was left kinda was as well....

A few more I have spied on past road trips.... I don't think I could even afford the polishing bills for some of these. The bike turned up in Czech.
