I just walked to the shops at the end of my road and was too slow to get a picture of the Ferrari 458 Italia driving past. I really love living here on the Kent coast!
It all happens so fast in the space of 150 metres and despite changing up with 2,000 revs to go, before you know it, you are speeding - but, I'm sure the speedo is over-reading and I must make the camera mount more secure 馃槜
I shoot a lot of cars (and motorcycles) as I am an accredited photographer for one of the racetracks here in Northern California, Sonoma Raceway.
For my trackside racing work, I shoot with pro Canon gear, all the big-*ssed white lenses and a 1D MkIIN pro body. For paddock and pitlane work, and everything else, I shoot with Fuji X-cams: X-Pro1, X-T1 and X100T.
Here's some exotica taken at the track....
If you guys like these, I can post some real racing stuff....
Was at the Sonoma Historics today, and was just about to bug out for the day when I saw this: the incomparable and indominatable Porsche 956!
'Course I had to get some shots of it at race pace! 馃榿
One of the team mechanics told me that this is possibly the only race-worthy 956 currently being driven: Quite possibly the greatest sports racing car ever developed, this car was race-competitive for 12 years!
Won countless races in Group C, German Endurance Championship, and IMSA in the form of the 962. No wussy paddle-shifters, either!
Shots taken with the Fuji X-T1 and Fuji 55-140 f/2.8 pro zoom. 馃憤
When's the last time you saw a 956 race at Sonoma? Like...never?!?
