My main reason is that I can't get into my race suit any longer. 馃槜

Oh, and that I don't own a 250/275LM. If I had that sort of money a 250SWB would come first.

Photo stolen from Talacrest who currently have one for sale, this is one they sold earlier

My favourite Ferrari even before the GTO. I watched them racing in period, (I was very young then! )

On the topic of Ferrari's....

"The final 288 GTO ever made, built specifically for Niki Lauda at Enzo Ferrari's request."

And if Lauda did in fact take possession of this car.....WHY THE HELL DOES HE NOT STILL HAVE IT?!?!
DOES NOT COMPUTE!

He needed to pay Airbus for the A320s. Very pragmatic man Niki.

Calgary car aficionado Fred Phillips collection. Too many highlight cars to list, but one that is more pulchritude than pornography is the 1953 Fiat that belonged to movie star Lana Turner.

Pismo Beach CA this summer, they all came from Canadian dealers, down for a photoshoot. You can make out ten here, 2 rows of 5. There were 2 more in front of the hotel and a team of valets working on them.

Oups, I forgot he first went with a first-gen Audi R8 V8 before the 488 GTB. Meanwhile, this weekend, I came across a F12tdf which was painted in a rare Rosso TRS (first debuted on F12 TRS) and paired with some gold wheels. Superb!

Hardly pornography. I happened upon this picture from close to 60 years ago. My first car. A 1949 Mercury with suicide rear doors. I had a lot of fun with that car. I was the only one in my group of friends that had a car in 1960. Paid $495.00 for it. In good shape nowadays, these bring substantially more. Anyone else with sentimental rear view mirror pictures of their first car?

I recently visited Alaska鈥檚 2nd largest city of Fairbanks, about 350 miles north of the largest city of Anchorage. For context, greater Fairbanks is about 80,000 people located just a bit south of the Arctic Circle. There is an amazing antique car museum I visited. The vehicle collection is impressive on its own and even more so given the isolated and remote location. Here are some cars I really liked.

A 1936 Packard Twelve convertible touring. There were 682 cars produced and the cost at the time was $5050.

1933 Hupmobile Series K-321 Victoria (7318 produced and only 7 known to exist). Original price of $1060.

1930 Packard Deluxe Eight Roadster. 1789 cars made and cost $4585.

Here鈥檚 a couple more pictures I took at the Fairbanks museum. You can find more information at their website:

http://m.fountainheadmuseum.com

1933 Auburn 12-161A Speedster. 25 produced.

1932 Cadillac Imperial Limousine by Fleetwood. 300 produced and could have been yours in the day for $5445.

Wasn鈥檛 there a depression during the 1930s?
